Oh please, an 8' 2x4 easily fits in my tiny little CTS-V with all the doors/windows/trunk completely closed. My last trip to HomeDepot I brought home a 10' piece of 2" PVC pipe.

I’ve been there......lol. When I traded my ram 1500 extended cab in on the Jeep, I was glad I had my 8 ‘ wagon. The ram truck in pic is my work truck, it has a tonneau cover on it and is full of tools, no room to haul anything in there..... This wagon is one of my favorite tools.While I do own a truck, I didn't drive it that day, but decided to stop by Lowe's for some material....this has happened more than once....
Just thought I'd ask if you got some pics of similar events ....
I modified it to carry 16’ material ( baseboard, conduit, etc...). I welded some square tubing on to hold the racks and also to store them when not in use.
Please excuse the welding, I am for sure, the worst welder ever......
........ you won’t see a stack of dimes here.......
.......... I just never got the hang of it, lol, I don’t do it very often, as you can tell, lol..........

I got 2 in there! No seats adjusted (remember the car seats) but I put the one end to the right of the center console towards the floorboard while the other end was close to the top back left corner of the Jeep near the folding glass. Had several other pieces of material and 320lbs of concrete mix too haha.
Pro tip: due to in and out of the little cubby in the backbfor tools, gloves etc. I dont use a rubber mat to keep it clean, I store a commercial size trash bag. Unfold it, boom, covered. Done moving dirty stuff, fold it up, put it back. Need a huge trash bag in a pinch, got one!

This is actually why I drive my beater '07 F150 most of the time.............it's just WAY too common that I'm in town and remember I need to stop at Home Depot or the steel yard and get something. In fact, without fail EVERY time I drive the JL I kick myself 'cause I forgot I needed X that will only practically fit in a truck.
Speaking of HD...................I had an acquaintance get sent home the other day (with pay) 'cause a customer said he "looked" sick. So.............since I like to look at the practicality or sustainability of policies to assess absurdity............if ya know anyone at HD who wants a paid day off, just walk in and say that employee "looks" sick. Voila. I think I might as well also file for unemployment and make $900/week for doing nothing like my ex-wife............this also seems sustainable. All very sound policies indeed.
edit: and for some reason XJ's annoy me but I'd totally rock an MJ with a mild lift and, say, 31's.............I think an MJ would be a fun parts runner

Well, the windshield does fold down and the rear glass can be left up... Too much length isn't an issue anymore!

2-door hardtop here, moved some 12' pieces of baseboard with the back window & tailgate closed. They were angled though the passenger side window, between the windshield frame and side mirror. It was OK up to 65 MPH.

No problem for me. I kept my 2006 Dodge 2500 4x4 W/Cummins diesel. Back when I was younger, I had to sell my first Wrangler, because of too many baby seats.

Yessir. It is tight and the door kinda pushes their carseat armrest, but it fits! It was what I had to confirm after leaving my Tacoma. Which people also wondered if it would work. They say where there's a will, there's a way. I guess so. But hopefully we won't lose our keep for a 4th
