  6. My first reactions from 4xe Wrangler test drive!

It's hard to put an answer to that, since the powertrain uses different variables which define how much or how often the ICE will run. Even in hybrid mode it can run much like it's set for electric mode until the battery SOC reaches low level. My opinion is, generally speaking, that you will...

The subwoofer grille is close to 12 inches across. Here's a photo that might help you.
  8. My first reactions from 4xe Wrangler test drive!

Hey, at least the wheels are about the easiest modification that can be made. I'm also sure there are some Rubicon 4xe buyers who will replace the stock wheels so you could even pick some up for your Sahara. Personally, I like the Sahara wheels and think they're perfect for my use but agree a...
  9. My first reactions from 4xe Wrangler test drive!

That's awesome, congrats on your 4xe order! Yes they will drive past 70mph on electric only, I actually don't know if there is any limit. There may always be some regen during driving (not sure) but with max regen turned off, it feels very normal or similar to any non-PHEV Wrangler as far as...
  10. My first reactions from 4xe Wrangler test drive!

These are questions I couldn't answer myself from any experience. Based on the info provided by FCA from testing them on trails out west I would assume they are quite capable in electric mode.
  11. My first reactions from 4xe Wrangler test drive!

I am an employee, and these are only my personal opinions, but I really like this Jeep! This is my first hybrid vehicle and I find it very cool being able to do most of my daily driving on electric power only. I liked my last 2019 Wrangler 2.0T etouque a lot, felt it was pretty quick and had...
  12. Any regrets getting a Bikini colored Wrangler?

And who doesn't love something fun wrapped in Bikini? Really, I had my base level 2019 Bikini JLUS for 15 months and never got tired of the color. I still loved it. I replaced it with a well equipped 2021 JLUS in Sting Gray JLUS and love this one as well!
  13. My first reactions from 4xe Wrangler test drive!

Not really sure, no experience with a full tank trip. I could assume that traveling below 70mph, just adding in the original electric only miles would bump my avg mpg up by about 2mpg on a full tank trip. I don't know how much the battery would regenerate and how much it could go back to...
  14. My first reactions from 4xe Wrangler test drive!

The cluster is configurable, that setting is called "Energy Economy". It's not clear to me yet how that is determined since most of that was under electric drive only in hybrid mode where the instant economy stayed pegged at 99. It hovers around there until the engine runs and it adjusts based...
  15. My first reactions from 4xe Wrangler test drive!

For a Wrangler, yes it's fast! Even rolling at/from freeway speed, it accelerates really quickly. It feels great, with a smooth strong pull for as fast as I dared to push it on public roads.
  16. My first reactions from 4xe Wrangler test drive!

Under maybe 25mph, there is a faint whirring sound my son compared to a UFO sound, but it's hard to describe. From inside the vehicle with the windows down it's only faintly audible and very unobtrusive.
  17. My first reactions from 4xe Wrangler test drive!

The 4xe definitely feels quicker than my base 2.0T etorque, which I thought felt fairly quick itself, but I didn't really drive this hard since my focus was the feel of the electric powertrain, the transitions (were very smooth), and learning what the different modes do. I don't know about...
  18. My first reactions from 4xe Wrangler test drive!

You know the existing stop/start button? There it is with a new icon. I didn't know what it was at first but it's definitely noticeable off throttle when it's turned on. I don't have any more pictures to share. I'm pretty excited about this myself! Still waiting for the pricing and website...
