It’s amazing that an aftermarket company needs to build something to correct what should have been done at the factory before selling them…
Angelo,
I am an ironworker by trade an inventor by Heart, I have more than 22 patents, everyone was to solve a problem. The problem is more or less 80 years old from 1941 when they started, but we can "SAVE THE STRAIGHT AXLE" for the Wrangler. With Exact Center your Jeep any jeep even the oldest Jeeps with good tight mechanicals and Exact Center can drive as good as newer SUV's and newer Jeeps can drive better than the new Bronco. I had a 2021 Bronco for 5 months and 7000 miles. I tell anyone who will listen the New Bronco has to be the target for Jeep owners on road drive quality. My 2021 JLUR 392 XR on 35's and a 3-4" factory lift is better than that Bronco. No excuses.

I don’t think the factory understands exactly what’s happening or what is causing it. Honestly you should have zero shimmy with no stabilizer. There is a harmonic happening with the new Jl.Typically it’s caused by a worn or loose part, but in the case of the JL I honestly believe they took too much strength out of the frame in the area where the gear box mounts. Have someone turn the wheels while you watch the gearbox from the top. It will move 1ā€ while it is twisting the frame. I believe that’s the root cause of it on the JL. They switched the frames to Ultra high strength steel and in the process they technically can get the same strength in a collision with a thinner frame……but it also allows more flex.

The JL is probably the only Jeep I would say 100% needs a stabilizer because of this. I have tried 3-4 different brands on my Jeep and each made an improvement, this by far has been the best improvement out of all of them and has some additional benefits the typical stabilizer doesn’t. The additional wheel return from this I can’t even tell you how much I love it. It actually takes a bit to get used to driving it, I found I was over compensating with the old set up and then with this I was over steering. Between the last two days I have actually driven this thing close to 200 miles now and the more I drive it the more I like it.

Like I said all of this is way over my head, but I think we can stop it so those with Jeeps new or old do not need to make excuses. The JL seems to be bad, too bad for a modern car builder , but you can bet if we do not get users to add the EC fix the next Wrangler will not have a Straight Axle. Too many warranty claims, too many issues and too many Excuses.
Jeep please pay attention

Well I can say over the last year I have had a few in depth conversations with some of the body and chassis engineers at Stellantis about my problems. Because of my job I have access to some of these guys for collision related problems on procedures. I have made a few decent relationships with a few of them so I was able to get some inside help. At one point I was able to get one of them to check the over center adjustments on a batch of new gear boxes they had and send me the one with the tightest settings. That’s the one currently in my Jeep and the one that drove the best out of the three or four I have swapped out. I have every intention of discussing this with them the next chance I get to talk with them. I know they have revised the pressure in the factory stabilizer 3-4 times and also changed the fluid viscosity so I know they feel the stabilizer is the part of the solution.

It is still 4 years they have had a problem that seems with their level of computer modeling is just not possible they have not found an answer. I am thinking if it was all on the modified Jeeps that might be understandable, but bone stock that is not reasonable they do not have real answers or fixes.
I want a bad Death Wobble to see if we can stop it. I think the way our EC works we will, now we need a very bad jeep to make it better.

Have you driven a new 4WD unmodified pickup or a new full-sized SUV? That is the steering and the control you can expect and if you are not happy we will buy the unit back. It can be that good and is that good. You will be amazed. You need to fix all loose or worn steering issues, but if your steering is without issues except what everyone calls it is just a jeep thing, we can make it drive like the SUV.
Let us try it only cost you a bit of time. We have stopped, not fixed full DW and the lighter version shimmy in other JL's We do this, and if you are not happy we will pay to ship both ways. I think our base 75lb unit can do this, but tell your mods, tire size lift first.

Our bottom pressure we are looking at now is 100lbs. We are considering this change based on user input the base EC is not strong enough we do have tests in process to verify the 100 works as expected. Note even with all the base sales to date only two units have shown DW. Roadmaster wants to get to a bottom pressure that is higher so DW cannot ever start. I think we are set on 130lb as the top pressure and I think 100 should work for bottom, but there we do have a user that has a new modified JL to test our assumption. That should happen next week.

Hearing this from you carries a lot of weight here especially after reading what you went through in your wobble thread. This interests me in getting one for the steering improvements primarily but also how slim the profile is compared to your typical stabilizer. Running Yeti stuff there's not a lot of room there and this thing clears it up easily. Are you still enjoying it Jeeps&dogs?

Well when they first started with this thing I told them if they want a test mule I got the rig! And to answer the question if I’m still enjoying it I can tell you this. I have a few vehicles that basically get tucked away in October until the snow and salt is gone here in Indiana. The Jeep is one of them. I have been driving it almost daily since I installed it…….probably put close to 600 miles on it. It’s killing me with the snow and salt all over it but I’m loving driving it.
