LOL you may be right on that. However, I need a new creeper too. We only budget $100 for each of us to give the kids more for xmas. There are 6 of them. My creeper was a fathers day present about 10 or so years ago lol. She says when I get on it now the casters bow out and the creeper almost touches for floor.

Even if I got a new one, I wouldnt be able to get them back to 190ftlbs when putting it back together.

So, since no one around can apparently do this during a weekend, Im going to go get a new impact wrench with enough torque to remove the bolts lol. Any tips on how I can get them back on after? None of the ones I looked at had a setting where you could put it at 190.

Just run the bolt on with the impact, then finish off with torque wrench. If you can’t push it hard enough, then use floor jack to push the handle to finish it off. Also if you tighten the bolt with the impact enough to hold the arms on the ground, then you can put on jack stands to get more leverage, the arms aren’t going to move while you finish torque……

Gotcha. That would give me a bit more room to work for sure. I am hoping I can just get it done on the ground. I put the Oracle LED reverse lights in the bumper today. Those were a pain in the rear. I had to explain to my Dad today I can remove them without other things falling apart. He thought other stuff was connected to it. I assume on normal vehicles it is.

LCAs are on! Went and got a better impact wrench this morning. They both came off with relative ease. The going back on however....The torque wrench I bought was crap. It wouldnt torque to spec. I had to go by the mechanic and asked them to double check it. So they got it to 190. Dont ask what what they were when I got there.

As for the difference. I can tell it doesnt seem to wander quite as much and the steering is definitely a bit stiffer. IT will also return to center like most every vehicle I have ever driven. So all in all, I think it was worth it. The wife however said she likes hers the way it is so I guess I wont be doing hers. To each their own.

Where there’s a will……
Now you have a proper impact plus a better driving Jeep. That’s a win! ?

This is true. Too bad the torque wrench sucked. But, how often will I need one that does 190ftlbs. This would have been the first occasion ever. I have another that does up to 150.

EC definitely helps mitigate those nasty side winds. But at the end of the day, we are driving the least aerodynamic vehicle produced in the past 40 years.
What are you talking about, it's nearly as aerodynamic as a cow!

My wife and I just purchased our first pair of Jeeps. So far we love everything except how they steer. IE, a bit of play in the steering and how they like to travel if they hit the edge of the road or rut. I have read that exact center fixes a lot of the things we do not care for. Is this the best option to make the steering not so soft and seemingly liking to go where ever it feels like?
