Looks a lot like the retarded weather alerts from Sirius TravelLink. “There’s bad weather 300 miles ahead.” Well duh!

The alert comes on several times a day, takes up your entire screen, and freezes out all other functions until you acknowledge reading it.

I ended disabling Sirius TravelLink altogether with the Tazer.

Someone probably reported it to Travel Link 37 hours ago and it finally showed up on your screen days after the emergency vehicle left.

I just got this warning!

I thought I had accidentally triggered a hidden feature when I was adjusting some data identifiers on the BCM! (I came here to report it, but I searched and found your post first!)

For me too, there was no emergency vehicle around. But wow, it sure got my attention!

Fyi: it’s not a safety feature if you can’t turn it off or limit how the warnings are given. It is, in fact, the literal definition of a driver distraction because it forces attention to the center screen for a “modal response “ from the driver. Anyone that has a sliver of Auto UX knowledge understands that this is a phenomenally BAD update.

It’s ironic (or bureaucratic ?) that it has the potential to do the exact opposite of the intended purpose.

I just got the same warning twice today for my '24. The first time I was driving past a police station, the second time there was legitimately an ambulance in oncoming traffic. I'm curious if there is a way to disable this because all it does is distract and I could easily see and hear the ambulance well in advance.

Got my 'CAUTION. Emergency Vehicle Ahead.' warning message today.

I was stopping in front of a traffic light, and the message came up. I had to touch the 'OK" icon on the screen to make the message go away.

Interestingly, all cars on the street were stopped at the traffic lights, and there were no emergency vehicles in sight.
