Hello all, I bought my 2019 Rubicon back in January of 2019 pre-ordered. I noticed about a month or two ago that I’ve been having some bubbling on certain parts of the paint. Some on the hood, some around the door hinges and most recently, around the bottom portion of the passenger door. These are a few pictures and I will take more pictures before I call my dealership. It’s beginning to spread like wildfire in multiple places.

That’s exactly how mine looks on the driver side door. I just took mine in today and they said they will probably just replace the door.

Hey all,
Was washing the Jeep the other day and noticed a few paint bubbles on the hood, took the doors off and noticed them on the hinges too!

Any recommended dealerships you guys trust with this issue in the NJ NY PA area?
I trust my dealership by my college in WV the most (so-so experience with the one home in NJ) but with Corona time going on, I'll be in NJ for the time being

Let me know how it works out for you. Im calling tomorrow to get some answers.
This looks just like mine, please let us know the outcome!
My repaint adventure starts tomorrow. I'm dropping off my 2019 with just over 4k miles at the paint shop. Their task is to repair bubbles next to a hood hinge on the passenger side. Dealer is processing it as a warranty repair. Lucky for me it is this small. I will post progress...

Under paint corrosion is happening at the bottom right portion on the outside of my passenger door as well—a foot away from any hinges. And a bubble on the driver hood hinge. Just made an appointment tonight for the dealer's body shop to look at it. Grrr... just got the Jeep back from the "splody clutchplate" recall. Yayyyyyyy

They’re replacing my whole driver side door. So hopefully they don’t mess anything up in the process.
Let us know how it looks... we'd all like to avoid adding insult to injury.

Just found some on a hood hinge, Jeep built 3-19. Going to the dealer for pictures this afternoon and to see what they’ll say.

I just dropped my Jeep off and I’m really nervous that the door won’t be restored back to factory condition.

Just curious... are you folks who are seeing these paint issues also effected by the frame weld recall? My 2019 was not on the recall (I was like the last week of 2019 production before the factory shutdown for switchover for 2020). And knock on wood, i havent had any paint issues yet. Just wondering if there is a connection between the 2. Good luck to everyone who has been effected.

No frame recall on mine as far as I know, they checked when I went in to have it documented last week. Mine goes in tomorrow and it’s killing be because the bumper and winch as sitting in the garage. And I was going to wait until the hood work was done to bring it home and install those. I was told three days for the hood repair but we will see I guess.
