Go to the jeep builder and spec out a 2 door Willy’s. The option is there but you can’t add it. I’m assuming it’s coming since it appears on the builder now.
What was Jeeps head of design thinking with the seats? Red and green don’t go…ever lol. The dash was bad enough and then they go and kill the whole interior haha. I get why they backed out. Cool jeep other than the interior.
So the Willy’s trim isn’t getting 4.10 gears and rubi axles? Tan leather is gone, you have to get a winch to get the overpriced steel bumpers, and have to jump up to the X model to get all colormatched. Geez MY 24 is off to a weak start for the brand.
On a new 2024 Willy’s you’re getting rubicon axles, and 4.10 gears, and highline flares. My point was that you can build a base Willy’s to be better than the XR package for a little more. The 1.5” lift that comes on it is nothing special; skip that and install a quality 2.5” lift such as an AEV...
I’d skip the XR package now if it were me. Add a higher quality lift, wheels/tires and you have your own for a fraction of the price. The Mopar hinge reinforcement is garbage and the 4.56 gears arnt really needed for 35s. 4.10s are perfect with 35s.
You can actually adequately build up a 2 door Willy’s to be rubicon capable now. It’s very intriguing. With the no red accents on the Willy’s it looks better and better. Highline flares stock, 4.10s stock, rubi axles stock, updated interior, rear locker stock. It’s hard not to like the Willy’s...
Build plaque will not look like yours. It’s a 20th anniversary plaque. No window shield banner either. Saw it on FB and a YouTube video where they explained it.
The 20th anniversary edition gets zero AEV badging; no plaque for the build like a JL350 or JL370 gets. They will get some branding specifying 20th anniversary. The AEV build is still the better option IMO
