Looking for Help, My new 2019 Jeep pulls to the right almost immediately after I let my hands off the wheel. is this indicative to mud terrain tires? The alignment reading are within spec accept the caster on the RT tire is out just a bit at -4.2 where as the LT tire is -4.6. any help would be appreciated.

Could be several different things, was toe in spec? If you got 3”’of lift then you’ll want to change the fixed front lower control arms that came with the kit and get some adjustable ones. You need your castor set around 6 for it to drive the best. If you get new arms have them installed and do alignment. Check your tire pressure make sure is around 30 psi and it’s the same in all tires. Some of your factory specs aren’t good now that you’re lifted and on oversized tires.

I have the stock Moab M/T's (BFG KM2) and have zero alignment issues and goes straight if I let go, so I'd say it's not a mud tire thing.

in my experience its seems to be a Toyo MT thing. I had 35x12.50 toyos on my 2011 JKU and it pulled slightly to the right when I let go. I now have 2019 JLUR with 37x12.50 Toyo MT's and it pull a little more than my JKU did to the right when I let go. My alignmentt is within spec, so not sure. Drives great, and smooth aside from that. Doesn't seem anything is off or wrong, no strange tread life etc. I know this isn't a fix, but its same tire just a little larger on my JLUR vs my JKU.
If you find anything different please shoot me a PM... as I'd gladly correct anything if you find something off on yours we or the alignment people haven't thought of. :like:

Will do!! I am curious about the Caster value as well as if they are using factory specs for the alignment. That would be crazy if it was a Toyo Thing!!

I've heard that certain aftermarket steering stabilizers can also cause a pull to the right. Have you added a new one recently?

No, just the 2" Mopar lift and the 35's and a Front bumper.

Did the mechanic mention if your thrust angle was off?
No, But I will ask him about it tomorrow. What does the thrust angle affect?

When you lift your rig the axles get off center because the factory track bar is fixed( not adjustable). Since one end is attached to the frame and the other end is attached to the axle, when you go up the axle goes over. The front axle shifts to the driver side and rear axle shifts to the passenger side. Sometimes this is minimal, but in my case the axles were off 3/4”. When you get your alignment if your thrust angle is off it could give inaccurate readings. It’s easy to check yourself, just measure from your coil spring housing to outside of your tire on both sides in front and see if measurement is the same. You correct this with adjustable track bars, they’ll allow you to re center your axles. The Mopar lift should include adjustable control arms and adjustable track bars in their kits because most people are getting more than 2 inches out of the lift imho.
Thanks Roky, sound like you have had a similar issue. I will bring it all up to the mechanic in the morning. I appreciate all your good advice. And thanks to everyone who responded. I will update the thread with the solution when I find it.

I 'm not sure if my Jeep has a dana 44 axle.
Only the Rubicon JLs get Dana 44s from the factory, but your axles function exactly the same with regards to camber. Either way, your camber is in spec, so your issue is caused by something else.

Good information, I knew they had these for jks but didn’t know they had for Jls. I was talking about there’s no adjustment on the vehicle, not a correction device......:)
Yeah, there definitely is no factory adjustment for camber. I haven't searched, but would suspect that this type of correction is available for all straight front axles.

Slightly off topic but still interesting: These could be used to gain additional caster without increasing the pinion angle.
