  1. Is EVERYONE having the paint bubbling problems?

A poll on the topic: https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/forum/threads/corrosion-poll.69117/page-2#post-1461898
  2. How Many identical Paint Issues Equals a Paint Recall?

Honestly, I'm not sure we can rule this out as a possible safety issue. If we are seeing corrosion on the exterior body panels (like the doors), it seems likely that corrosion is also occurring inside those panels where paint coverage is even worse -like on the Door Intrusion Beams.
  3. ETC light

On mine, the ECS and ETC lights come on for a couple seconds after starting -slightly longer than the time needed for the 'needle sweep' to complete.
  4. Bubbles in Paint at Door Hinges

Kate @JeepCares , Thank you for replying. Would you be willing to escalate this thread to someone who can address the ongoing corrosion issue as a whole (and not each individual case)? This is a widespread, well known issue, and as such, Jeep's official stance on the subject should also be...
  5. Corrosion Poll

I chose both 1-2yrs and 2-3yrs. The corrosion first appeared on the passenger side at 1-2yo. Unfortunately, the corrosion returned on the passenger side and new corrosion started to appear on the drivers side during 2-3yo.
  6. Bubbles in Paint at Door Hinges

@JeepCares, Can we please get clarification on this? Are the corrosion issues noted in this thread being covered by the 3yr/36k basic warranty, or by the 5yr/60k corrosion warranty? If you do not know the answer, can you please have someone at Jeep reply? Many of us have had the corrosion...
  7. Bubbles in Paint at Door Hinges

I thought corrosion coverage was 5yrs/60k?
  8. Freedom Winch Line?

I subscribe to Bleeping Jeep and generally find his videos informative and entertaining. However, I would recommend that everyone wait and see if this product passes certification before considering it. Also, a Tree Saver would definitely still be needed. Using the winch line alone would cut...
  9. Florida Roll Call!

Congrats, and welcome to the forum!
  10. Bubbles in Paint at Door Hinges

Thanks for the tip, I will avoid them at all costs. Arrigo W Palm took care of the first repair and actually did a decent job with the paint. However, the corrosion returned. I just made my appointment for Monday and it appears they no longer have their own body shop. Hopefully, the place they...
  11. Possibly buying 2018 CPO Rubi Unlimited today, what things to look for??

Look very closely around body panels near hinges (door, hood, etc..) for small paint bubbles or body corrosion.
  12. Video: Pentastar V6 Engine Production

Weird, it didn't look like they used any assembly lube.
  13. How to stop scratches in thick scrub?

Cover the sides of your Jeep in wide painters tape?
  14. Bad U-joints already?!

Are you hearing a rotational knocking sound? If your Jeep has LSD, it might be your rear differential. A few folks have been having issue with the LSD clutches wearing prematurely. https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/forum/threads/knock-in-rear-with-dana-44.16921/
  15. Bubbles in Paint at Door Hinges

Doubt it will make a difference. I'm in FL (no road salt here) and mine is garage kept out of the rain and waxed often. I had my first corrosion show up at 1 yr of ownership, and It re-appeared a few months after the repair. It is also now appearing on the opposite door. So, my Jeep is heading...
  16. Florida Roll Call!

Start looking for tickets to be posted around September or October. They sell out super fast! Also, allow a few days at the event to do the trails. We attended Friday and Saturday and managed to do 7 out of 10 trails (each is about 1.5hrs). Unfortunately, we didn't have time to do the obstacle...
  17. Florida Roll Call!

Nice to know I wasn't the only one that freaked out. LOL At 29• I would have probably pissed myself!
  18. Florida Roll Call!

All were great trails for sure! That last hill climb on Safari was pretty steep, and Pines had some real off camber stuff right near the lake. At one point, my rear tire slipped in some mud and caught a tree root as we were leaned over and the inclinometer spiked for a second at 27•. that sure...
  19. Florida Roll Call!

Well, Day 1 of Jeepin with Judd is over. We completed 3 trails for a total time of about 5hrs in 4-Low. 2 of the 3 trails were listed as Stock Friendly, and the 3rd was a Moderate, requiring 33" tires and a small lift. I was really surprised with the technical level of the trails, as they had...
