Honestly, I'm not sure we can rule this out as a possible safety issue. If we are seeing corrosion on the exterior body panels (like the doors), it seems likely that corrosion is also occurring inside those panels where paint coverage is even worse -like on the Door Intrusion Beams.

On mine, the ECS and ETC lights come on for a couple seconds after starting -slightly longer than the time needed for the 'needle sweep' to complete.

I chose both 1-2yrs and 2-3yrs. The corrosion first appeared on the passenger side at 1-2yo. Unfortunately, the corrosion returned on the passenger side and new corrosion started to appear on the drivers side during 2-3yo.

@JeepCares, Can we please get clarification on this? Are the corrosion issues noted in this thread being covered by the 3yr/36k basic warranty, or by the 5yr/60k corrosion warranty? If you do not know the answer, can you please have someone at Jeep reply? Many of us have had the corrosion...

Look very closely around body panels near hinges (door, hood, etc..) for small paint bubbles or body corrosion.

Weird, it didn't look like they used any assembly lube.

Cover the sides of your Jeep in wide painters tape?
