Bent front shock somehow

So I'm putting everything back together after getting trussed and the black plastic cover fell down on my passenger side rocksport and i see this! Could regular wheeling cause this bend? I guess ill be ordering some new Reds (the longer ones since I went to 4.5") springs and tell the wife itd be "another week")

I figure if you're trussing an axle your regular wheelin is more in line with my definition of regular wheelin.

With that being said regular wheelin can break axle shafts and ring and pinion don't see why it couldn't bend a shock.

I’d be checking top and bottom shock mounts. If one or both are misaligned it could bend the shock.
