I've seen in some threads that Jeeps can be stolen easily by lifting the hood and pulling the alarm fuse.
What if you set two contacts that when seperated (hood opening) an alarm goes off.
Seems like a decent idea.

I’ve activated the horn with hood open feature using a Tazer on each of ours.

You can get a Bolt hood lock that is keyed to your fob for extra protection.

Bolt 7032303 Hood Lock Compatible with 2018 & Newer Jeep Wrangler JL (Excluding 4xe, Jeeps with Front Trail Camera Option) https://a.co/d/1r2UXI2

Sounds like a terrible idea. I open my hood probably 2-3 times every single day. I can't imagine having to listen to the horn go off every time I do. Why not just install a toggle switch on the fuel pump, or ignition switch, for both that matter?

Not very complicated to wire in a toggle switch.

Same. Easy enough to do and is one of the reasons I purchased a Tazer.

This wouldn't sound the alarm every time the hood opens, just if it opens while the Jeep is locked.

Both Tazer and Jscan can enable the hood pins to set off the OEM alarm when the hood is raised and vehicle is locked.

As an aside though, the pieces of shit are now cutting the horn wires prior to opening the hood.
How do they access the horn wires without opening the hood, as it is located up high and unreachable from underneath ???

As usual: blowing my mind!

It's been at least a month since I've opened my hood. What are you needing to access under there 2-3 times every single day?

Yeah, same. I even debated buying the Redline struts for a long while since I rarely (if ever) open my hood. I *maybe* open it once a month, if that, unless I go wheeling or something.

So if you alarmed your home, you'll let your neighbors know everytime you open the door?
I'm sure if it was OEM the key fob would click it off.

Pretty much every day when I get home from work I poke around the Jeep trying to come up with ideas of things to do. And that usually involves me opening the hood once or twice. And then on the weekends when I'm doing such projects I'm usually opening the hood a couple times as well. I already open the hood twice this morning before I even went to work. I was fiddling around with the wiring for the light bar I'm going to install in a couple weeks whenever the hood mounts come in.

I'm not 100% sure, but I'm like at least 60% sure that my Jeep doesn't have an alarm. I have manual door locks so I would have no way to set an alarm because there's no buttons on my OEM key fobs. I've always wondered if I were to smash one of my windows in would an alarm go off? Then again would my doors have to be connected for it to go off? As it stands only my wife's door, the front passenger door ever stays plugged in. She likes that little light that comes on when the door opens.

Tredsdert isn't the only one. I open my hood 5 times a week if not daily. Here's why: Every morning I open the hood to inspect for mice even though I hose it down with peppermint spray, I still like to take a look for those little rat bastards. I also bought the redline shocks dude, they're like a new toy I can't leave it alone. I find myself opening the hood just to watch it open and stay open with no hood prob. I also open it if nothing else to just stand there and look my brand-new engine and some of my mods, winch switch, snorkel etc........... to honor them :please:

I can't believe you guys aren't doing this. ?

When you park your Jeeps, please don't tell me you guys don't look back before walking into the store. I find myself looking back 3-4 times before I even get to the store, then I stand off to the side for another 3-5 min before entering. Again ?
