I don’t have a pic, but the tube coming down from the frame that holds the factory bump is at least an inch longer than the other JLs. I cut mine to install King hydro bumps…

That was changed on the frame end, not the axle mounts…Thanks for the info. I'm not sure I want to deal with the relocated control arm mounts. I have no idea how that would impact anything, so I'll shy away.
Oh, now I'm back on the fence. I might have to suck up the extra bump prior to upgrading tires. Thanks again! That was changed on the frame end, not the axle mounts…
The whole shebang! Can’t wait to get them installed and regearedNice. You got the brakes and everything..
We're going to find outWonder how those CV boots will survive long term...

Are they thick like the ones on RCV axles or just "standard" rubber CV joint boots? We're going to find out![]()

I am betting they are not and are just regular CV boots which are not very durable. The RCV boots are about 1/8" thick and are pretty tough. Unfortunately, the RCV boots will not fit the Mopar axles, so you are stuck with them.TBH I've never seen the RCV in person so hard for me to say.

If not doing any serious rock crawling, it will probably be fine, but is something to monitor so that you do not have a failed joint due to lack of lubrication.
No; I am almost positive they are "sealed" and need no lube. The RCVs (which is one of their shortcomings IMHO) sling grease as part of normal operation and is the primary reason they have to be lubed periodically.Do you know if they need to be lubricated like the RCV's? Around every oil change or tire rotation
Cool thanks again for the info. I will ride these for as long as I can then switch to a CrMo set at some pointNo; I am almost positive they are "sealed" and need no lube. I had a set and the shop tore the boots on installation. I pulled them to replace the boots and never reinstalled them (just sold them). I will be going to the Dana CrMo axles for the front next winter(during downtime).
