I’d wager that won’t happen until the lifecycle enhancement which won’t be MY2022
I know we're all just speculating, but you obviously know what you're talking about and have a ton of experience.

I'm holding off on a 21 4xe Rubicon in the hopes that MY22 has Uconnect5 and/or more electric range. If you had to put a percentage on those things happening, what would you guess?

I think you have a much higher chance of uConnect 5 than longer range.

uConnect 5 - 60%
Longer Range - 20%

Again, this is purely my educated speculation and nothing else, but I think MY22 will largely be a carryover year with a few small upgrades and new packages to keep Wrangler buyers looking in the direction of Jeep as Broncos trickle in.

That said, by the time the '23s are ready, Bronco will be on the roads and people will be interested in them. Need to keep those heads pointed at Jeep. Also need to get people who have had their JL Wranglers for a few years back in the showrooms to buy a new product.

Sooooo...that coincides with the timing of a mid-cycle refresh for the Wrangler so I'd expect UConnect5 to be part of the larger LCI (Lifecycle Improvement) when they update the interior and other bits throughout the Jeep in a much wider fashion to get renew interest in the vehicle. I do not think Jeep will have UConnect5 before MY23.

Again, I could be wrong entirely, but I don't see why they would throw a big feature at a vehicle toward the end of its current iteration when they can make it all part of the big bang LCI.

There is a strong counter argument given an FCA statement, I think it was early this year. They said that all FCA vehicles will have uConnect 5 by 2022. I assume that they either already had parts or at least the factory capacity reserved to meet this goal. We'll see.

The statement from FCA was given pre-Covid and pre-manufacturing/supply chain madness, and I stand by that changing a lot of plans everyone had. It was very possible that MY22 was originally planned as the LCI.

Maybe some insight into when 22 orders open -

The new Jeep Wrangler Xtreme Recon Package includes:
LT315/70R17C (35-inch) BF Goodrich KO2 All-Terrain Tires
17-inch x 8-inch Beadlock Capable Wheels
4.56:1 Axle Ratio
1.5-inch Factory Suspension Lift with uniquely tuned shocks
The results: Best-in-class approach angle, departure angle, ground clearance and water fording capability:
Approach angle – 47.4 degrees
Breakover angle – 26.7 degrees
Departure angle – 40.4 degrees
Ground clearance – 12.9 inches
Water fording – 33.6 inches
Customers can now order the Jeep Wrangler Xtreme Recon package on both Wrangler Rubicon 4-door and Wrangler Rubicon 392 models. Production at the Toledo (Ohio) Assembly Plant will start in August.

A new 4.88:1 axle ratio will be available on the Wrangler Rubicon. When paired with the six-speed manual transmission, this optional axle ratio delivers a best-in-class 100:1 crawl ratio for increased wheel torque and control when navigating off-road obstacles. The 4.88:1 axle ratio will be available for ordering later in 2021.

Wonder if 2 door Rubicon will be allowed to order the 4.88:1

A little solace maybe for not getting the recon package?

The manual drivers are finally getting something the auto aren’t!

Hopefully but the 2-door seems to be getting less and less lately.

They could do this package w/ the diesel option & go with 4.10 gears pretty easy.
But then again when does Jeep do anything 'easy'?

Are you thinking this will only be offered with the 3.6?

Well I just texted my salesman I am ready to order today with the new xtreme package. I hope they don't exclude the 4xe from this.....If they do I guess I am back to waiting for the 2022s and them to allow this to be bought with the 4xe.
On their website it says it's available on wrangler rubicon and 392. Sounds like it won't be coming to the 4xe
