I was told by a jeep dealer employee that FCA is so screwed up it is hard to get good techs and techs to stay because of FCA.
From what I was told by my Service Manager FCA Techs make half of what the GM and Ford techs do so it's difficult to get good Mechanics .

I put this same stabilizer on after taking the V41 off and it gives the steering a more firm feel that I really notice when turning and I am very happy with it. But it did nothing for the play in the steering wheel (and I didnā€™t expect it to). My Jeep is at the dealer now for the play in the steering (about three inches). More details in the big steering thread.
Please keep me posted I believe I'm going to suggest to my service manager to replace the draglink and steering gear box .

Try sending out a memo to all the Tech's who replace the steering dampener to Read The Instructions....there is a sticker on the shock tube and the buldge if the sticker is wrong. Mine was installed incorrectly and it took me 3 minutes to correct it.
Good grief.

I just had mine done and they installed it wrong. Drove right back and they flipped it around. Service manager tried saying it didnā€™t matter. I asked why was there a sticker then? Radio silence was his response. Only drove about 6 miles on it. I assume everything is ok with it and nothing was damaged due to it being installed incorrectly? Anyone know the reason for it being directional?

According to FCA it is to allow faster fluid transfer, thereby supposedly enhancing the performance as long as the bulge is positioned downward. Additionally it will be damaged if the bulge is installed up.

Do you know where that is documented? The service manager at my dealership insists that it canā€™t be incorrectly installed. So after I show him FCAā€™s own installation documentation, I suspect theyā€™ll just reinstall it. But Iā€™ve been driving on it a couple of weeks and if it may have been damaged then I want a new one. So Iā€™m sure Iā€™ll have to point him to that document as well.

I don't think it would damage it as I have driven on it for more than a week, until I corrected it...I believe it works better, as installed correctly.

Having new track bar installed, but NOT by a Jeep dealer. Interestingly my mechanic put a GoPro camera under the front of a JL to show how the stock track bar flexes and yes it does, so for $150. for a Rough Country track bar I'm taking care of it to make sure it's done right, with the track bar of my choice by someone I trust.

It's sad that Jeep dealers don't even install the steering stabilizers right, but then having to deal with the attitude when you tell them it's installed wrong. This is so wrong!

Stabilizer replaced and done correctly. Can tell no difference in driving the Jeep. Drove great before and after. Sept 18 build.

I sincerely apologize, Joe Paul. Mind following up with me via PM to provide additional information so that I can have this formally documented within our system? Thank you in advance.

Had mine done Monday. Zero change that I can tell at all. Installed correct at least.
