Hellwig makes high-quality components. It's a higher spring rate sway bar, so it would flex less. It would be good if you are having issues with excessive sway at a tall lift height or possibly towing. It will not flex as well as stock offroad.

So for average driving on road it will improve drivability but suffer little on off road? I'll take it.

I have it. On road vert nice. Improves handling around corners. Inexpensive and nice upgrade.

With 95% of the miles being on pavement, a 2inch lift and 35's (including the heavier spare) and some of that time loaded up with 200lbs of camping gear, a dog, ARB fridge, camp kitchen and recovery equipment I want to reduce as much body sway and roll as possible. On a JK, the Hellwig made a big difference in being able to go in a straight line when being passed by a tractor trailer and feeling much safer on the highway. I'm expecting the Hellwig on the JL to help with driving on windy days and when driving in the 70mph speed limit zone. I'm willing to sacrifice a little bit of flex for improved stability.

Good to know this is out there. How easy is the install? I assume you don’t need to lift the vehicle.

Does anybody have a stiffer bar available for the front (for a Rubicon)?

Before you purchase a sway bar, I would try one of the panhard/track bar relocation kits that installs on the axle side. Raising the panhard bar will raise the roll center, which effectively reduces body roll.

The swaybar reduces body roll also, but could limit flex. Relocating the panhard bar shouldn't limit flex at all and still reduce body roll.

I installed the Hellwig rear sway bar, I do a lot of hwy driving pulling a small 16' Airstream Basecamp travel trailer.
Big difference in handling, definitely the best up grade I've done.

I put this (front and back) on my JK. I thought this was the best upgrade I made for the $ spent and it literally took 15 minutes to install. My 2018 JLU does not have the "Jeep Walk" the JK does. I have been waiting to upgrade my suspension until I had at about 20,000 miles on the vehicle. Recently I have test drove some JL's that were lifted and noticed that as the JL gets higher off the ground the back end starts to feel like it walks a little. So, I have purchased the Hellwig rear sway bar for the JL so I can have it installed prior to installing a lift.

Funny you say that. I was sitting behind a Durango at a stoplight yesterday thinking about Watts linkages.... ironically that particular Durango was leaf sprung in the rear but everytime I see one I think about it

hate to jump on an old post but the looseness of the rear end on my JLU was the worst of any Jeep I've ever had, so bad I was considering getting rid of it. Installed the rear swaybar from Hellwig and it made a world of difference, driving in 15mph wind is now do-able and I don't fear for the ditch every time an 18 wheeler passes me. This is worth every penny I paid and the best upgrade I've done.
