With stock Rubicon suspension, the shocks will limit articulation before the links run out of misalignment. Even the mopar lift doesn't seem to articulate enough to be limited by the links. I added the Rock Krawler No Limits links to my JLUR with the 3.5" Metalcloak Gamechanger. Heim joints are the only way to keep up with big articulation while still having the sway links attached to both ends.Yes disconnecting with "the push of a button" is the most comfy option. With the manual quick disconnects your hands will always get dirty. I carry gloves with me to do this.
Disconnecting manually will give you the most articulation as the stock links can only flex so much. Rubi owners can easily fix this by buying links with more flexible joints like those made by MC. Not sure if the first limiting factor are the rubi shocks or the links. I know without the links and long travel shocks a rubi can get flex like in my profile pic. At this point control arms start limiting flex.
I am personally fine disconnecting with my JKS quick disconnects and wouldn't pay extra to have a button and the extra complexity an electronic disconnect introduces. But if I had it, I would of course use it.
Those links you posted came up on this forum some time ago and some members raved about them. I said it was stupid because the quick discos work just fine and you get used to them. The forum ate me alive lol. So those apex things might be worth it. idk. JKS quick discos dont bother me at all.
I'd have to agree with you, as far as choosing manual quick disconnects over those autolinks. It really boils down to what's more important to the individual. A bit more effort to gain full articulation, or less effort and limited articulation.
