Yes disconnecting with "the push of a button" is the most comfy option. With the manual quick disconnects your hands will always get dirty. I carry gloves with me to do this.

Disconnecting manually will give you the most articulation as the stock links can only flex so much. Rubi owners can easily fix this by buying links with more flexible joints like those made by MC. Not sure if the first limiting factor are the rubi shocks or the links. I know without the links and long travel shocks a rubi can get flex like in my profile pic. At this point control arms start limiting flex.

I am personally fine disconnecting with my JKS quick disconnects and wouldn't pay extra to have a button and the extra complexity an electronic disconnect introduces. But if I had it, I would of course use it.

Those links you posted came up on this forum some time ago and some members raved about them. I said it was stupid because the quick discos work just fine and you get used to them. The forum ate me alive lol. So those apex things might be worth it. idk. JKS quick discos dont bother me at all.
With stock Rubicon suspension, the shocks will limit articulation before the links run out of misalignment. Even the mopar lift doesn't seem to articulate enough to be limited by the links. I added the Rock Krawler No Limits links to my JLUR with the 3.5" Metalcloak Gamechanger. Heim joints are the only way to keep up with big articulation while still having the sway links attached to both ends.

I'd have to agree with you, as far as choosing manual quick disconnects over those autolinks. It really boils down to what's more important to the individual. A bit more effort to gain full articulation, or less effort and limited articulation.

OP... there is yet one more option (forum members.. please do not eat me alive as you did with entropy LOL)..

Get a take-off electronic sway bar and then install the Evo Manufacturing "Manual" disconnect.. that is my current setup (mine is also a 2018 basic Sport Unlimited) I like it because you just turn a knob a few times and viola !.. you are disconnected) ... however.. my case is different as I am planning on providing intelligence to my dumb Sport to be able to manage the electronic sway bar disconnect (but that my friends is a long story.. I don't think anybody has done it yet for a Sport model.. and I am only going to try this because I am a curious geek) ... of course, this idea is only valid if you can find a really cheap electronic sway disconnect module... maybe $300...

If I had to choose between all the different options.. I would go with the Antirocks... it seems to fit your idea of off-roading.. and you don't have to disconnect anything..
I've got my edisconnect fully dressed with Rock Krawler links just sitting in a storage container with the rest of my stock and aftermarket takeoffs. Just sayin'... :bandit:

I would always reconnect the passenger side link first. Then I would swing out the tailgate with the tire carrier and 35” wheel on it to make the Jeep lean to the passenger side so I could align the holes and reconnect the driver disconnect. Made reconnection much easier.
You beautiful genius you

Do you have Antirocks?... how do you like them?

Also... how much for the edisconnect assembly?.. LOL

one more question... how long are the Rock Crawler links?

Thanks!

Hit some washboard roads and you’ll want that extra bit of ride smoothness. So even if you don’t get flexed out, they serve a purpose. Also, being disconnected gives traction up front and levels the Jeep out.

I’m also a huge fan of the Apex Autolynx. It’s an outstanding solution. Reconnect in less than 15 secs without crawling on the ground too.

Yeah, Antirocks with the JL specific .770" bars front and rear. They perform at their best when paired together vs only on one end of the Jeep. I really like that the Jeeps body stays more level when the axles are twisted in opposite directions. And it no longer gets that butt clenching flop forward feel when cresting an obstacle. Much more controlled vs a fully disconnected front and a stiff factory rear.

Rock Krawler has 2 lengths of their No Limits to chose from. I have the shorter pair but, even fully extended, they weren't quite long enough for my particular setup. I would've just gotten a set of their longer ones, but I also had an issue with the rear factory sway bar hitting the bottom of the frame rails on both sides, and was costing me the last couple inches of wheel lift. The Antirocks fixed both issues, while also performing better and allowing me to drop the weight of the edisconnect motor and the front bumper skid.

Here's a pic of the No Limits links. Again, adjusted as long as I was willing to extend them and still have proper thread contact. 11.25" between bolt centers...

I had JKS quick disconnects on my ‘19 Sport and highly recommend them. More articulation and much smoother ride when you’re off-roading.

Not much of a hassle either. Would disconnect / reconnect them while airing down / up.

Immediately bought them, tire deflators, and an air compressor after my first day of wheeling.

i saw the JKS. They look like a good option. What bothers me with those is that it requires cutting off the tab. Prefer not to cut or drill into the JL.

The anti rocks sound like a great option, but since this is a daily driver, not sure how safe that would be. maybe someone can address that, i am just guessing. Also, it seems that it would require a lift.

RK disconnects don't require any cutting.

Don't tell my Rubicon it can't flex without fancy end links, I guess she didn't know better?

Very minimal cutting. Took me less than 5 minutes with a mundane dremel.

If you wanna keep stock link length and sway bar recommended angle, JKS is the only one I know for stock sport and rubi without a lift.

It is up to you to decide what matters most. Recommended sway bar position or an arguably pointless tab.
