thanks for the comment. couple more here (please forgive the dust!):
  3. Illinois Sold: FS: Rubicon 392 Wheels & Tires

I have a full set of 5 wheels & tires from a Rubicon 392 available for sale. Key details: - less than 100 miles on the tires (no miles on the spare). - only the spare has a TPMS sensor; the other 4 do not have TPMS - local pickup only. I'm located in the northern suburbs of Chicago asking...
  4. Hellwig Swaybar - Best Mod Yet

I did the stiffer setting, and I can bet you that you won't think it's too stiff. if anything, I would prefer even stiffer (would probably need to stiffen the front, but I don't believe that's even possible).
  5. 37” Baja Boss M/T vs Wrangler MT/R

I recently had 37" Baja Boss tires put on, and I have been really happy with how quiet they are. not K02 quiet, but it's close. would definitely recommend them
  6. 392 real world MPG

I seem to get around 13mpg. I'm sure I could get 17 if I wanted to, but that's not why I bought this. I'm also on 37's with 4.56 gears
  7. TPMS Not Working

was really annoyed to discover the same. bought new TPMS for my new wheels/tires and ended up having to go back and swap the stock ones. very frustrating
  8. new 392 needs exhaust

I prob keep the valves open 30% of the time - maybe I'm getting old. interestingly, I had found mine to drone really bad when I first got it, but after about 500 miles, it sounds much better. not sure why - I've put aftermarket exhausts on countless cars, and I usually found them to get a...
  9. Hellwig Swaybar - Best Mod Yet

I'm on the stock suspension for the most part (just a 0.5" spacer up front along with the mopar LCA's and metal cloak UCA's). I haven't driven hard enough to unsettle the rear or notice any looseness, even in the wet. you must be a braver driver than I am. I can tell you that the Jeep feels...
  10. Hellwig Swaybar - Best Mod Yet

just measured it and it looks like it's 22mm (0.89in). also, note that there are two settings for stiffness for the bar. I elected for the stiffer of the two. you can see the two mounting holes in the second picture
  11. Hellwig Swaybar - Best Mod Yet

Wanted to share that I just installed the Hellwig rear anti-sway bar. WOW - what a difference. has to be the best bang for buck mod I've had on either of my JL's yet. the Jeep handles noticeably better with no perceptible change in ride quality. I'm sure the hard core off roaders on here...
  12. Why not 4.10 gears with 37’s on the 392?

I went with 4.56's and had 37's put on at the same time. feels exactly the same as stock with the 33's. agreed with what's been said in this thread - the added rolling mass of 37's is worth going a touch higher, and 4.10's aren't a big enough difference to be worth the expense of regearing...
  13. Exhaust note change

that's all as intended. a lot of cars are designed that way. I don't know that it really does much for performance - it's for pleasure
  14. What’s your other car??

I somewhat agree. perhaps I've owned too many fast cars, but I expected it to feel a bit faster based on the high 12s 1/4 mile. having said that, I think there's a bigger difference between 1st and 2nd gear in this car in particular. one thing you'll notice the more you drive is the...
  15. What’s your other car??

in fairness, I just sold this, but here you go. most expensive car I ever bought yet the cheapest one I've ever owned / used (odd as that might sound)
  16. So how do you like the 392 as a DD?

agreed that the fuel tank is too small. everything else is awesome. love the dual nature of the exhaust - quiet and docile when you want, and a rabid animal when you open up the throttle
  17. Lets see your 392 on 35's or 37's stock suspension or lifted...

here's mine. 37x12.5 tires on AEV wheels. stock suspension so far. adding a half-inch spacer to the front next week just to level it out a touch
  18. The Wait is over!!

looks awesome! looks fantastic in black. congrats and enjoy
  19. Regret 37s?

zero regrets (quite the opposite - I am thrilled with them). had them on my 2018 and just put them on my 2021
