Does my tow thingy mean I have beefy cooling system?

The tow thingy came from factory, that's tow package, right? So it should have upgraded cooling system for the tow package. No?

My '19 JLR lists the following on the window sticker:

Trailer Tow Grp w/ HD Electrical and 4 Aux Switches $795
Auxiliary Switches
Class II Receiver–Hitch
7– and 4–Pin Wiring Harness
240 Amp Alternator
700 Amp Maintenance Free Battery

Although it's very possible the above does not list All added equipment, none of my research suggests any change to the cooling system on any year JL for the tow package.

Curious, does your window sticker (Monroney) list the tow package? If so, how does added equipment compare to the 2019?

I believe the JT gets a fan upgrade with the tow package (and some other Jeep models), but not the JL. Might be wrong there. People have installed JT higher wattage fans.

It's a straightforward way of determining if what sex your Jeep is. If it has a protrusion on it like in the photo it's a male Jeep. Without it's a female jeep.

Nothing about extra cooling on my sticker.

Also, nothing listed about the alternator, BUT I have the 3.6 V6 eTorque, which doesn't have an alternator. It charges off the 48v battery which is charged by a generator. The tow package that came on ESS models included the upgraded 240 Amp alternator, and cost $995, IIRC.

The 850W fan doesn't show up on the window sticker or build sheet. My EcoDiesel apparently has it:

Diesel's and 2.0L EC1 w/ESS Engines use the same part 68272755AD which is the one shown for Gladiators with max tow so its already equipped based on my info.

In all seriousness...

No extra cooling is required, as your max towing compacity is just 3500lbs. IMHO because the 8-speed tranny the entire drive train is so efficient no damage will occur.

Keep the fluid levels up and if it's a long tow, ensure your oil/filter are new. (oil and filters are cheap insurance period) Make sure tranny fluid is where it needs to be. Drive and enjoy, let that drivetrain do the rest as it will!

Lastly be careful however, if you have an above bumper winch. That could cause some heating issues when towing.

On my Ram if you get the tow package you get a larger auxiliary trans cooler from 3 rows to 10 rows. I heard that alone will double the life of your trans. I went 250,000 miles before my trans gave out. which is pretty good for a truck.

The Trailer Tow group, in addition to the Class II receiver, and 7/4 pin receptacles, also meant you got wiring up into the driver's footwell for a brake controller.

I added the Mopar brake controller to my 2023 Rubi, and having that plug right there up under the dash made it super, super easy.
