I basically ran into the same problem eventually. I was or thought I was working with a dealership (Greenway in Orlando) and couldn’t get a followup no matter how many times I reached out to them. So I reached out to Kate on here, that was pointless and infuriating. I was expecting her to either reach out to the dealer or get me in touch with someone who could; none of this ever happened with Kate. Was basically told if I’m not happy with the dealer no responding, try another dealer… Thanks Captain Obvious, but I should have already had a case opened and being processed.

I emailed the link I posted and was assigned a case manager. Who reached out to the dealer (Greenway in Orlando) to see what’s going on and for an update. Only to find out they never submitted my claim and was not aware of it, despite my service advisor (Isahi) saying other. I was unable to immediately take my Jeep in to get (re)inspected and start the claim again, only because I regularly travel for work and wasn’t going to be home for a couple more weeks at the time.

My case was closed because I was not actively working with a dealership on the issue… THAT WASN‘T EXACTLY BY MY CHOICE, I did everything on my part to work with a dealership and Jeep. Basically I was again told to beg other dealerships on my time off and reach out again if I need further assistance from Jeep “Cares”.

I did manage to get some very disrespectful texts from my service advisor, Isahi from Greenway DCJR.
I would screenshot those texts and share them online

Maybe it's time to contact lawyer?
I am starting the lawyer route today. I need to clean my hands of this. I have spent hours and trying to get everyone together to get this resolved and Jeep and the dealer do not want to talk to each other and I am just getting the run around from both sides which is sad. I contacted Jeep and opened a case and they said that the dealer only submitted 3 photos. one of the odometer and 2 of my hinges so the $1500 is to fix the hinges. The dealers qoute from their 3rd party auto body shop estimate is for $7k since the bubbling is on all the doors, hood and back door. I contacted the auto body shop and they sent me the 40 pics they took with circles and details on the pics. They said they did not take a picture of the dash and odometer so that must be the dealers pics. Jeep customer care told me that if the dealer just submitted the pics it would be approved for the whole amount, so I went down to dealer to explain that to them and they stand by the fact that they sent everything and submitted everything and there is nothing more that can done. So I am in the same position of Jeep telling me the dealer is wrong and the dealer telling me Jeep is wrong. Beware of Paramus Jeep Chrysler in Paramus, NJ on RT4. Doing research I found that they have a really bad reputation of screwing their customers over and I completely get that vibe when I am there. I really regret buying my Jeep there. I went other dealers and talked to other service managers and they explained that they do not take warranty paint work unless you bought the car from them. So they take care of their own customers and they all said that Paramus Jeep where I bought my Wrangler has the reputation of not doing that. Live and learn. Never in my life would I ever think getting something covered under warranty so difficult to get fixed.

I attached the pics that the auto body shop took and gave to the dealer. they are very detailed and you can see how bad it is and why I am so frustrated that the dealer and Jeep are doing this to me.

I have been dealing with Alex Vargas at Paramus Jeep at Rt4 and he never called me once the whole 2 months they had my Wrangler and has not been willing to help me at all. His advise to me was to go try and get it fixed myself and get Jeep to pay for it. Thanks Alex!! The crappiest customer service I have ever had and I am in the customer service business. If we treated our customers this way we would not have any customers.

My advice is to stay clear of this dealer. Do your research and find a dealer with a good reputation even it means a farther drive.

I will continue to give updates on the what the outcome is on the legal process and let everyone know who is going through what I am going through if it resolves the issues or not.

Called my dealer last Monday. They said all they needed to do was put the badges back on, and I could pick her up on Tuesday. Called on Tuesday, they said Thursday. Called Thursday, they said Friday. Called Friday, they said Monday.

As of this coming Monday, they will have had my Jeep for 2 months.

Finally got my Jeep back. The only reason I took it was I have (had, I'm sick now) a trip planned for Friday.
  • overspray on my tailgate rubber seals
  • scratch paint on the inside of my newly painted tailgate.
  • tailgate is not closing right, it's way off.
  • rough paint on rear (they said they couldn't buff it yet because the paint was too soft)
  • scratched roof when they took it off (fixed with touch up pint)
  • rear bumber put on wrong (fixed while I waited).
There's more, I'm sure. I just haven't had a chance to get out and take a good look yet. They did promise to fix any issues.

So, it's going back. Once I'm not sick anymore, I'll take a good look, make a list, and drop it back off.

The paint blend they did is quite good. I can't find a seam. I'll look closer later.

2 months to the day.

I have seen at least two post from people saying that 2021 and 2022 wranglers appear to be coming with some kind of black gaskets between the hinges now.

Washed our 2018 JL Sahara (24,000 miles) today and noticed early stages of corrosion around the front door hinges
Honestly not bad. You might not want to do this, but try carvana, carmax, and some local dealers. Bet you can sell the car for a profit, they probably won't notice the corrosion at this stage. It's only going to get worse from here. Unless it REALLY doesn't bother you, unload it before it's too bad...

If I see this pop up on mine, this will be my first move. Just sold my 2017 rav to a local Toyota dealer for a profit. I got it brand new and put 20k miles on it. Weird times we live in.

A gasket will only fix a small part of the problem. Hinges themselves are bubbling. On mine the door panels not near any hinge or any possible place where water could get in bubbled..

Agree but it’s a start and a sign that Jeep is acknowledging the problem.
