2020 JLUR, and my FAD blew up last week. It must have been going for a while, since it let go in a parking lot with three inches of snow.
It looks like the bearing gave out and the collar wasn't fully engaging. I've never hear of this kind of failure.
I'll be doing a FAD delete and replacing...
It's interesting that they are using the JCR roof rack photos. I was looking at the JCR, but this has me intrigued.

I've been tracking mine since day one. I went to 37s almost right away, with heavy skid plates. I went to 38s shortly after, and 4.88 a couple of years back. I'm now 39s, 4.88s, heavy skid plates and bumpers. I got my JL in January 2021.

It wasn't cold enough to worry about heat. Sleeping bag and blanket on top of 4" foam, and a touque/beanie. I was toasty warm.
New this year is a diesel heater that will stay outside the Jeep and blow warm air in. I'll use that when it gets below -12C (10F). Still working out the details for...
