Mine is currently in for paint a second time in over a year. I am dealing with the same rep from Stellantis, because she is awesome.
The dealers and body shops though…Holy ?!$&…
I hope this work out, but I suspect it will be back again. Mine is a 2019 Mojito Rubicon with just over 27000…so still under warranty…once that’s over…one bubble and it’s gone.
Mine is also a 2019 Mojito Rubicon. Blistering started about a year after purchase. I just picked it up from the body shop. They repainted all 4 doors and hood (and hinges of course). Body shop guy said Jeep never painted the inside of the hinges. He claims I will never get rusting after he repainted everything. It looks great. I'm over 36k miles now so warranty is done (my claim was entered before 36k miles but completed after 36k miles). Now I have to try to get rental reimbursement back from Jeep. They said 2-3 weeks but it took 3-1/2 weeks. Wish me luck ...

Is anyone else having problems with dealership wait time? I have been waiting since July to have my corrosion fixed in Ohio. Every dealer within 2 hours says jeep only allows them to process so many claims a month and are not taking any more corrosion warranty claims.

My dealer took pictures the Monday after Thanksgiving and I haven't heard a word from them. I don't even know if Jeep got the pictures... no one can even tell me that.

My dealer has a used JL and used JK on the lot right now that I just looked at as I wait on my free oil change and both vehicles have pretty obvious bubbling on multiple hinges… at least they are on “clearance” for just a few grand under MSRP with thousands of miles on them :CWL:

Lol yeah no thanks :CWL: really wish jeep would fix this issue, maybe when they do I’ll get one again. Mine never bubbled, but I’m officially at the one year mark and I’m processing my paperwork today to sell it

I thought there was a “corrosion” type warranty that was longer than the basic bumper to bumper? No?

My fear would be Jeep would say they never received the claim. I'm having issues with my dealer now. They claim they sent the pictures, but I have no proof. I'm dealing with a very unexperienced service tech who messed something else up for me, so my faith is gone. I asked JeepCares if they could find out if my claim was submitted and they said they can't. So frustrating. It's been 11 weeks now.
You're right.. Hate to say/admit it. I think my game plan has since changed.. Corrosion is spreading fast, even sitting in my garage most all of winter. Plan to take into the dealer and have documented/open case. I'm hoping my local dealer (with body shop) will be supportive, but I'm prepared to take it elsewhere if need be. As previously mentioned, have a jeep service advisor in the fam, may have to take advantage of that (just not super local)..

I have a few trips planned this summer around the jeep, might complete those trips, hope for correction/new paint, then reevaluate. Hate to even think of off-loading is a possibility, love the jeep, hate knowing that this may be a forever problem though. My jeep has been so fun, so enjoyable and otherwise reliable (knock on wood). Hate to be a little B*&%$ over an aesthetic issue.

Just got back from a short trip across town, the vehicle just brings such a smile to my face to look at and drive. Third Jeep (TJ and CJ before)... even edited this post cuz I realized what I have within that 20 min drive... I need to change my attitude! Hard to replace a true jeep (wrangler) with solid axles and the ability to drive cross-country, wheel for a week, and drive back across at 80 mph..

There is but it requires an actual hole be corroded through a body panel.

The hinge work is being covered under the regular warranty, not the corrosion warranty.

That's the first time I've heard that one. Who told you that?

Unless it massively affects sales, it’s much cheaper to only fix the ones where people notice and demand a fix.
EXACTLY! Same for limited slip axle problems,…..

Minimum is done on part of manufacturer because it affects bottom line- unless a safety issue..

Just bought mine yesterday, and I knew about this issue from a year and a half ago when I started to do my research on it lmao. I just want my Jeep to last 10-12 years, that's it. In between that amount of time I hope if I do get the hinge/paint bubbling that my dealer can take care of it for me under the 5 year rule. Will monitor this, just like everyone else. Maybe my 2021 is safe and I got lucky, haha.... just kidding

A. Description of Coverage

This warranty covers the cost of all parts and labor needed to repair or replace any sheet metal

WHAT'S COVERED
Panels that get holes from rust or other corrosion.

If a hole occurs because of something other than corrosion, this warranty does not apply. Cosmetic or surface corrosion — resulting, for example, from stone chips or scratches in the paint — is not covered. For more details on what isn’t covered by this warranty, see 3.6.

But all the bubbling I've seen don't have holes and are being fixed. I still have 3/36,000 warranty (so I'm not worried)...I'm just very confused because there's never been holes, yet things are getting fixed under the 5-year warranty.
