Thereās an idiot light to alert you when you forget to turn of the turn signal (yes I am one). Radio up and mud tires = canāt hear the clicking. Neat feature so youāre not driving for miles on the highway with it on.
While I agree that Iām not sure what a victory in this case will actually mean for the Class, not all of them are bad. I had a brand new engine installed in a Subaru with 130,000 miles on it because of a class action suit for excessive oil consumption (mine burned about a quart every 2k miles...
Hi @JeepCares since there are manuals being delivered today there seems to be a āfixā. Not sure why this seems to be double top secret but can you just answer the basic question of is the ānewā clutch that is/will be installed a ānewly designedā clutch or just a new clutch of the same type that...
Iām still waiting for one of you crazy folks to take apart their pretty much brand new jeep (without the recall on the VIN) and physically compare the clutch assembly to whatās in the recall Jeeps! Takin one for the team! š
Patiently waiting for one of you super mechanically savvy, super curious owners of a new 2023 6MT (without a recall tied to the vin) to bite the bullet and pull your rigs clutch apart to see whatās in there (verify if itsā¦different). š
Iām betting no way itās the exact same clutch. The NHTSA would never buy off on that for a third recall. Software update with progressive alerts to warn of danger on its own is just a mitigation, not a fix. They are going to have to actually fix it this time.
While I agree this happens MOST times, I did get a brand new engine installed in my 2012 130,000 mile Subaru a few years back due to a class action lawsuit for excessive oil burning! THAT was one of the good ones!
Iām betting (hoping!) they are out of the design stage and into the testing and verification stage. They knew this was a problem looonngg before the letters came out. Risk reduction process would have been to design the possible fix (new clutch) ahead of time. If itās stiLL in the design phase...
I knew about the clutch issues when I ordered my 2021. I love driving my manual but since this 3rd recall came out gotta admit Iām kinda nervous when someone else in the family takes the Jeep now.
