Or maybe they will figure we can live without a lot of the bullshit they put on the Jeep. Who the fuck really needs footwell lights. Or the 50 lights we put on the front of the vehicles. Or the tons of nanny features that are included, but not needed. Or the TV screen infotainment system.

Cut out all this electronic bullshit, which is not needed anyways, and the price can come down.
This is the best way to handle it but some people will argue for this shit anyway because they can't help it.

Also the babies on this site, good lord...

Most countries tarrif us higher then we do them already. Canada has a 250% tarrif on American dairy but that's okay I guess.

But we compensate for that by selling you our oil (60% of your consumption) for pennies on the dollar. Remove that oil and there is no longer a trade surplus.

I think things are going to be a bit unstable in the near term. You may get some dealers that want to just sell what they have and are willing to deal, others may say the tariffs caused the prices to go up.

Just remember, if it is on the lot, it’s been paid for by the dealer and their cost has not changed.

For Jeep that are being ordered, make sure you ask for some level of price protection.

NAFTA was renegotiated as the USMCA by...guess who. And now apparently it's unfair. Or fentanyl. Or, nobody really knows the cause, and Sheinbaum and Trudeau are right to call this a violation of an existing economic trade agreement that the current administration insisted upon.

Jeep is in the crosshairs because components and sub assemblies cross our Southern border multiple times. Your 3.6 comes out of Mexico, electrical components come out of China

Enjoy the price hikes, the shrinking GDP, the weakening of your retirement accounts and pensions, and the higher unemployment rate. Y'all wanted it.

From the AP:
“U.S. tariff rates vary: They are generally 2.5% on passenger cars, for instance, and 6% on golf shoes. Tariffs can be lower for countries with which the United States has trade agreements. Before the U.S. began imposing 25% tariffs on good from Canada and Mexico as of Tuesday, most goods moved between the United States and those countries tariff-free because of President Donald Trump’s U.S.-Mexico-Canada trade agreement.”

America pays pennies on the dollar for our oil, because the brilliant Canadians that we are banned the oil from reaching other markets, so the only place the oil can go, is in the pipelines to the US, who have us bent over the barrel.

Meanwhile our Canadian king is going to spite America with reciprocal tariffs, ya more taxes, something the Canadians wanted to jack up all a long...... Canadians are clapping like seals.

I've been observing price trends since originally ordering my JLU in Sept. 2020. It's been very plain to see that Wrangler pricing has increased recurringly during the course of each model year, without prior announcement.

The frequency of those price bumps increased during Covid. Although they were comparatively modest, they were continuing to occur. I still remember when the starting price of a JL Sport finally breached $30K. Sad, but also wholly expected.

With that history in mind, I don't currently envision how the imposition of tariffs would change an already well-entrenched practice.

Honda has been building a Civic in Canada for like 20 years
Mine 2023 was built in Indiana. 2022 and up are built in US. They have been making civic and CRVs since the plant opened in 2008, primary serve the US market. There might be other assembly planets making the same car for different markets.

The first car they built in Ohio was in the 80s. The

Not to mention purchases under $800 werent subject to the tariffs so now those $50 orders @Tredsdert loves so much are going to be subject to them thanks to the De Minimis exemtions being ended ... probably.

Remember these 25% Tarrifs are @ Wholesale prices/NOT Retail
Always remember the saying, what costs a nickel leaving China, costs the US consumer $1 by time it hits their hands.
I don't know how Jeep purchases parts for their vehicle, but I would imagine it's wholesale.

I mean, if I can get a extended front lower control arm which has a made in China sticker on the Mopar tag, for $50, I doubt Jeep is just ordering 10 of them. There's probably a couple pallets coming in at a time... You know?

So if you get the XR package, and you got those Mopar extended control arms on there, which you will, that price will get handed down to us... And that's just one part. I haven't met a part yet on my Jeep that wasn't made in China.

Honestly I wouldn't be shocked if our frames are being built in China and then shipped here be a freighter. I mean I seen the videos from the Wrangler factory, you don't see anyone welding together a frame, you only see a frame being dipped in paint to begin with. So you really just got to ask yourself, how many parts are actually being manufactured in China and then shipped here to be slapped together by Americans?

Although I do agree with that one guy who said that if the prices go any higher, no one's going to buy Jeeps anymore! 🤔

Yes, Mexico prices will be, one of the big increases on vehicles. New vehicles, and parts, will increase in costs. The Auto Industry will just pass the increasing prices, down to us consumers...

Nope. As was happening 8 years ago, this will encourage companies to bring manufacturing back to USA. The new Honda Civic will be built here. We will likely have better deals with Mexico and Canada. No one wanted Chinese steering boxes anyway. Competition will improve. And inflation may become a thing of the past once all the fraud and waste is cut in D.C. I'm cautiously optimistic.
Here is our take as a producer that only makes our products in the USA.

We live in a global economy, there is really no way around that. Despite the fact that we only make our products here, it is impossible for an entire supply chain to only have or get USA only goods.

There are some industries and product types that simply don't want to make products here, or can't compete. It is also better to have some supply chain diversity.

A 30% tariff doesn't mean a product MSRP will go up 30%, but if there are much higher supply chain costs for an extended time, prices will rise as the newly acquired products starts to increase.

Things have been so costly for so long, I honestly don't think anyone regardless of political stance wants to see price go up any more. So hopefully we can all avoid any notable increases.

Oh yeah. I've already started noticing price increases on AliExpress and Alibaba. It's to the point now where I triple check on Amazon and if I can get it for close to the same price on Amazon, I just buy it there. 😓

I'm with you on that brother!

I've been purchasing quite a few things on Amazon lately, with the mindset of "get in before they have to restock and prices go up!" 🤓
