The 2-door already requires a special top, so that's a moot point. With the door longer there would be some shared parts that are currently unique, like the top's side panels & windows, entire rear quarter-panel stampings, and maybe even some of the cargo area interior plastic panels. They could even use the glass from the current front & rear doors to get the longer door (with a fixed panel like I showed). The biggest issue is that the front of the "sport bar" would need to move rearwards.Maybe but that would require a special 2 door hardtop and soft top too, since the current tops with the current doors. That or they'd have to extend the wheelbase to accommodate the extended front door. Either way that's a lot more R&D, tooling and materials to make getting in the back seat easier. They probably figure if that's an issue you'd just get a 4 door.
Way too expensive to make the front doors longer for the 2 door.

Oh yeah, I guess the 4 door top does have a longer overhang. Great points. Disregard my last. The 2-door already requires a special top, so that's a moot point. ....
Easier to get aging German Shepard intoEveryone has different taste. The kids are gone, the dogs crowd themselves into the front passenger seat so I didn't get a four door, but I see 10X as many four doors and I'm just curious
Our kids are grown as well, but now we have grandchildren, groceries, a dog that isn't allowed on the seats, stuff in general. I loved my 2 door, had it for 12 years but I'm liking the more room.Everyone has different taste. The kids are gone, the dogs crowd themselves into the front passenger seat so I didn't get a four door, but I see 10X as many four doors and I'm just curious
I currently have a Grand Cherokee Trailhawk and a JKUR, I to would be one of the first in line to buy a J6.If they made a 2 door Gladiator I would buy it. I love that J6 concept.
Well I’m person A and I like my 4 door! ?Hey I can put this argument to bed. How about person A likes his/her 2 door Jeep and person B likes their 4 door.
