  1. FCA lack of quality check

Yeah...I can't argue with any of this. Luckily we all get to pay 40k+ for the privilege. I can't believe that standard practice is using clutch pack LSDs. So dumb. There is a magical thing called a TrueTrac that Jeep is apparently too cheap to use.
  2. FCA lack of quality check

Owned many Jeeps. Jeeps have always sucked, some worse than others. They are very specialized vehicles that share little with other vehicles. They require unique blank-slate parts which is a challenge unto itself for the manufacturer and the supplier. As a result, stuff doesn't always work...
  3. Manual 2 Door Rubicon Bikini Build

Nice CJ! Those OX lockers are indestructible. Good call on the Scout axles too. I had a buddy who was into the Scout thing, and his was all but unstoppable. Always liked them. That CJ looks like the right candidate for Carnage. Maybe even for Patriot and Liberty. Maybe.
  4. Manual 2 Door Rubicon Bikini Build

Question - did you previously build a JK? I've been through the build process more than a few times and I have to say, I think your build choices are absolutely spot-on. It's a solid community and there are a lot of great choices, but in my experience RK is on another level in comparison to...
  5. Ultimate no-lift goal

Just dropped in to say love, love, love the idea of no-lift or low-lift builds. Two things will kill a Jeep build - lift and weight. Avoiding both, or at least extremes of both, means you're going to have a great wheeling, great driving, durable build. Ask me how I know...;)
  6. Did i buy a unicorn? 2 door Rubicon

Two door Rubi owner here. My first JL but third 2-door Rubi. Soft top, LEDs and tow package, and nothing else. A few of us are still real Jeepers. RELAX JLU guys....I keed, I keed, put the pitchforks away folks.
  7. Looks Like Ford Bronco is Serious About Taking on the Wrangler

Man, I just looked at the latest leaks and updates for the Bronco, it's interesting I and thought I'd discuss a thing or two about it. Then I read the previous three pages....fuggit, there's no point. Way too many dudes trying to stretch their d!cks out and then arguing about whose is the longest.
  8. The Important of Painted Fender Flares on Stock Jeep

It depends primarily on preference of course, but aside from that 1) Where and how you wheel 2) The color you choose 1 is obvious, you can make those pretty painted fenders look like hammered shite in one trip depending on where you go. Or at a minimum, over time. 2 is more vague, but for...
  9. Why so many doors

Over time, what is at first abnormal becomes normal. Like a 4-door Wrangler. Now a bunch of people say they actually look better than the two door. To each their own, but I couldn't disagree more. A 4-door still looks like a chopped and extended 2-door to me. They do look better than the...
  10. The Jeep Gladiator is Struggling

Ain't no way I'm reading this whole thread, but.... I see its devolved into at least some people defending how right they are and how wrong someone else is, like they think choice is a bad thing. Not sure why some hate freedom. The JT is cool but not for me personally, but I can certainly see...
  11. Mishimoto R&D: JL Wrangler 2.0T Catch Can Kit

At this point I think the question has moved beyond 'Does the Mishi can work?' to 'Did someone actually finally find a way to build a GDI motor that doesn't self-destruct in under 100k miles by including a factory air/oil separator that actually works?'. We'll collectively find out!
  12. Mishimoto R&D: JL Wrangler 2.0T Catch Can Kit

New JL Rubi 2.0 owner (non-eTorque), long time Wrangler owner, and merciless wheeler. I bought my Jeep in AZ despite living in CO. Based on personal experience with GDI engines, a catch can ASAP was all but mandatory. I installed the Mishimoto can with 150 miles on the Jeep. Yes, it fits the...
