Turbo AFE downpipe

Looking at the AFE downpipe upgrade. They have a catless and catted one. Id like to get the catless as I dont have emissions here in TN, but was wondering if itll set off the cel? Anyone done the downpipe yet? Ordered superchips programer for tires and lift, but I doubt I can turn off the rear O2 with it

I don't have any experience with this product, but I can almost guarantee that the catless downpipe will trigger a CEL.

Probably not. It looks like AFE didn't even dyno the catted pipe.

According to the Alfa folks a downpipe will trip the CEL.

I'm a member of a 2.0L JL Owner's Group on Facebook and one of the members on there has the AFE Catted Down Pipe. Apparently no tune was required and everything was running properly for him. He posted some videos but I'm not sure how to save and post them here. On start-up and idle you can hear a little more turbo "flutter" than stock from the exhaust, the over-all tone is a good bit deeper too. Just FYI-I don’t think this is legal in CA, and a LOT of companies wont even ship non legal stuff to CA as CARB has a tendency to trot out lawyers and heavy fines…YMMV
