Just for the heck of it, here are my observations/thoughts on my 'new' 2019 Wrangler Sahara Altitude. My other Wranglers were (2) TJs and (2) JKs.....so this was my first 'modern' Jeep.
Pros:
Technology - Wow. This Altitude Model is loaded and I'm so glad I held out for all of the features I wanted. Love the Nav, the Media, and all the other features that the 8.4" screen provides.
Ride - Much better
Noise - Much better
Looks - I like the new design, seems sleeker
Interior comfort - Better, more room in the back seat.
Engine - I love the 2L turbo. Not sure I trust it fully, but I got a deal on a dealer warranty so if issues ever come up at least I'll have some protection. I think
so far a lot more power. especially at the mile high altitude where I live. It's really fast, I find myself passing and merging where I would not venture before with the 3.6...
Cons:
Really none. Some people have mentioned that the Sahara's 18" wheels and tires give you less rubber on the trail. I have not tested this off-road yet, but this was not a real issue for me. The difference between a 17" and 18" tire is only 1/2" based on the radius, so at least in my case, this is a non-issue, I'm more of a trail-runner not a rock climber.....When I replace the tires I will go with a more aggressive tread design...
