Delete of not allowed, this is not JL related.

My daughter is considering a 23 Cherokee.
Surprisingly there are a few left on dealer lots.
Which is part of my concern.

I understand 23' was their last year.

Anything issues about this model she should be aware of?
Her last car , CX-5, was totaled in crash.
Thanks

Meh, get extended warranty and keep up on maintenance and she’ll be fine. I’ve read that they have electrical issues but warranty will cover it. If she wants to keep it longer than warranty, you might want to consider Japanese competitors since they are more reliable long term.

True, thanks.
Other models on her short list are CR-V and Rav-4

I have 45,000 miles on a 2021 v6 grand cherokee, and so far, just oil changes.

i recommend a rav4 honestly. My wife dailies a rav4 for home health PT work. Its easy to work on for maintenance. It does good MPG and just runs. 100K trouble free miles thus far and i expect at least another 100K before we run into to many issues

also the higher the cost vehicle the higher the insurance payment. :(

I think a 23" Cherokee might be a bit small

We handed down my wife's 2015 Rav-4 to our daughter which now has 115,000 miles. We have done nothing to it other than regular maintenance and pour gas in it. Not the most exciting car to drive but Toyota reliability does go a long way.

Not a Rav4 but my 05 4R went 16 years 210K mi with few problems, but began self destruct with multiple issues at that time….
Bought a 21 Wrangler that I know will far exceed 210K mi before I have issues with it 😁

Not a fan of the new style Rav4. I liked the pre 2018 trims. Cherokees are fine, nothing exciting. The trailhawk actually comes with an E-locker I think. If I didn’t have my grand Cherokee, I might look at the CX-50 or Passport. Have her test drive a bunch of them.

I would take a Cherokee over a grandma rav4 or crv any day.

My wife drives a 2015 Cherokee, v6, active drive with low range we bought new. 70k miles, battery at 3 years and a set of tires and that is all.

My wife drove a '16 Cherokee for 8 years and 100k miles with no problems. She just traded it in for a '24 GC.

a 23' Cherokee seems large may just want to look into a Class C motorhome
