From the Tazer site for 11.7h firmware

Button Mapping: Use cruise up, down and right buttons as quick-access to some of Tazer
JL’s functions, when cruise control is off.
Dangit… I see it now... instructions for beta pdf. Thank you... I totally missed that when I downloaded.

Winchmode is one of the options. Did I forget to add it to the user manual?

Here’s the list plucked from the software:

{NOFUNCTION};
{LIGHTSHOWN}; // any of the 9 light shows
{REARCAM};
{TCKILL};
{LINELOCKMSG};
{ROCKCRAWL};
{WINCH-MODE};
{COOLDOWN};
{LOCKFRONT};
{LOCKREAR};
{LOCKFRONTREAR};
{SWAYKILL};

@joe@zauto

I upgraded to 11.07h and it went smoothly. I love the new ESS and Traction Control behavior. Makes much better sense than always on or always off.

I found that the TPMS menu is fast and more reliable in 11.07h than in 11.06. It was very quick and easy to drop pressure warning threshold from 36 to 32. (No "Try again" errors like I'd get in 11.06.)

Nice work!

@VGxHC

Discount can be had on the Tazer JL and Tazer JL Mini not the Tazer JL Lite.

Last I heard, the 5% forum discount code was not working.... but for 5% off, use discount code: JeepInformant2

Buy here:
https://zautomotive.com/product-category/tazer/

Note: When you purchase, consider going with the two year warranty that costs $20 versus the free 90 day warranty. Just click on where it says "90 days - Free" and you can then select 2 year warranty.

.

Note: I do not work for ZAutomotive. I'm just a Tazer JL fanboy..

Thank you kindly!

Which cc buttons are the hotkeys and what are the functions? I can't seem to find anything on the website.
Button Remap: This function allows the assignment of “hotkeys” for quick access to some of the Tazer’s
functions. The cruise +/-/RES may be used for this function. While the dash is in Audio mode, press and
hold the RIGHT arrow and press the button you’d like to remap. The choices are: Any of the 8 light
shows, backup cameras, line lock, rock crawl, TC kill, Cooldown, Front/Rear/Front+Rear Lockers,
SwayKill. Keep in mind that not all functions pertain to all vehicles. These remap buttons will only
program and operate while Cruise Control is OFF. When Cruise is on, they will operate as normal cruise
control buttons. For TC Kill, a vehicle restart is required to bring the system back to normal. For
Lockers, the normal Locker off button disengages the lockers.

Is 'Dark Mode' only applicable for the auto trans? It would seem to work with the shifter in 'park' but how would this work for a manual?

I don't understand the benefit of having all exterior lighting & dash/radio etc. lights off with the engine running.

We do it all the time in our police cruisers.

Gives you better outside vision at night and your not backlit

I'd agree and I understand why police would have lights off while parked (I'm former LE in Ohio). It seems like a useful feature for some, but now that I think about it, I guess it could be useful away from public roadways...i.e.; camping, maybe... beach.

Just how illegal would it be to turn on that light show while driving down the highway to scare the shit out of slow left lane drivers? And is it possible to hook up aftermarket lights to it as well that you've hooked up to the Aux switches?

Asking for a friend. :angel:
Just felony, impersonating emergency vehicle. that's all lol

Any update for disabling auto park? I heard that one of the recent recalls won't allow the Tazer to disable auto park anymore, which is definitely the case for me. I HATE AUTO PARK MORE THAN ESS!
Buy a manual ;)
