I attempted to install my Tazer mini today. Plugging it in was a breeze, I got the flashing green and red lights but the Tazer menu would never come up on the audio screen. I attempted to upload the latest firmware but the updates would never say complete. It also seemed like my computer had a tough time connecting to the Tazer. I tried on two different computers. I sent it back for a new one, hopefully the new one won’t have issues. Any suggestions to make things smoother? Thanks.

I had similar issues with trying to get my computer to recognize the Tazer Mini. I gave up and sold it since I didn’t want to deal with the headaches.

It has the potential to be a solid product, however it seems like all they’re doing is hacking the PCM & BCM and chasing their tails with updates trying to fix issues caused by the previous update.

If you’re someone who owns the product and likes it, more power to you, I’ll stick with my problem free Flashcal.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I am gonna give it one more shot and hopefully it'll go better. We will see...

I am starting to see that already. My turn cam hangs up probably every 5th time at least and i have to hit the "x" on the screen. I know this was an issue on a much earlier version as well. I have the latest update also. The price did not bother me but i would like a product that works consistantly.

Hello guys...

I Just need to do some changes on my Jeep that do not require the “live” function... after I finish can I just remove the ZGW from the Jeep?

Yes. Unmarry if going to dealer is best practice.

Sorry I meant when for example changing TPMS settings, can ZGW be disconnected if no further changes will be made in the future? This taking into account that the tazer is still marries to the Jeep.

Yes you can remove it as long as you don't want any live functions. And if you do want one, plug it back in.

What kobejo34 says is make sure you unmarry and remove it before going into the dealer for anything.

Went into 4-low last night, which turned traction control off by default. Well, NOW every single time I start the engine the Tazer is kicking traction control off. What's up with that??

Sounds like the side effects of hacking the computer to do something it was not meant to do, but I could be wrong.

Was just looking at the features and it says this:
– AutoTracKill – remembers last state of traction control system and will set it for you the next
time you start the vehicle

Yes it’s just remembering that traction was off last time you turned off the Jeep.
Turn it back on with the button, then shut off the Jeep and it’ll go back to normal.

I haven’t been able to keep up with the posts here, apologies for being mute for a little while.
I have been testing my latest update that improves the ESS memory, fixes a few other things... right now trying to make the dash text display when working with the 7 inch radio more solid. That radio likes to fight for the dash’s attention.
