Yeah it is quite sturdy. I am actually selling mine as we sold the JL now. Moved to PNW and no more rock crawling, now over landing so doing a different route.

Out of curiosity have you tried the comet on the cool tech mount? I want to keep it as far away from my brain bucket but don’t like it being so far from a decent ground plane. Wonder if you had any observations on running it back there or really just shouldn’t bother.

Hi Lift jack mount OUTSIDE the vehicle and not on the hood. I only bring it when I go wheeling so I am not concerned with the elements and I am not having something that heavy sitting on my hood when it could fly through the windscreen if the mount gives way.
