So not a Jeep specific problem yet some how its a reason to dump Jeeps?

The "problem" is not as much the price increases as it is what you get for the price. Case in point - a Rubicon X starts at $63k...compared to the aforementioned $65k Trail Boss it looks ridiculous. The Trail Boss is in a different league in almost every objective way.

Everyone has raised their prices to stupid levels...but the stupidity is especially glaring with the Wrangler because of the type of vehicle it is. It's never going to be a competitor for full-size trucks or luxury SUVs without compromising the attributes that make it desirable to begin with...yet Stellantis has priced it in that league.

Quality or not, the Jeep has a special type of demand. I can't think of any other brand that has lived on through so many ownership changes/mergers. (Willys, Kaiser, AMC, Chrysler, Daimler, Fiat, Stellantis)
No reason to believe that it won't live on through the next one. If we're lucky, the next ownership of Jeep will be a smaller AMERICAN company with majority effort focused on its flagship model: Wrangler.

There are very few vehicles that can be utilized the way a jeep can from the factory and drive without any issues after you have maxed out its capabilities.

I agree, but we aren't talking about off-road reliability here...the problems with the JL are everyday issues. Problems that happen in the daily commute. Obviously those same things can happen off-road but they aren't off-road specific, nor are they caused by the fact that the JL makes a lot of compromises in order to be off-road focused. It's mostly electrical/electronic - and it's all due to poor quality control.

I do...and I can't see how anyone here can't. Stellantis is a garbage company that bought a great name and really cool products and are now treating them as a money fountain. They don't care at all. Once they have driven the brand into the ground and the money stops flowing they'll sell it off and move on.

And there are "suckers" here...those who believe the hype and really think they've got a top notch product at a great value. There are many of us who knew exactly what we were getting into with a JL...but even more who are clueless.

Jeep has been passed around many times over for decades, the quality and service has always been the same, no better and no worse, that's one reason I would never touch any of their non Wrangler offerings, I think the Wrangler is good value for the money, except their Uconnect but I can live with that subpar eyesore, just wish it didn't have to be in the middle of the dash.

The Wrangler, especially for a vehicle that's meant to have the paint scrubbed off by trees and rocks somewhere between the showroom and your garage, I don't think paint quality is something to gripe about, that said Jeep should offer some hardy paint options vs all purty glossy ones.

First time Jeep buyer, truely enjoyed the topless and doorless life for just over a year, but have no confidence in Stellantis and decided to divorce myself from them.

Once I learned of Corrosiongate I knew I wasn't going to keep the Jeep beyond the new warranty period. What accelerated my decision was the tanking trade-in values. They are shockingly low (45% on a 2023), so I cut my losses after I found one buyer who wanted exactly my build and paid a little more.

I can see myself buying a cheap 2-door manual beater in the future, though it may not be a JL if they are corroded to dust by then. This was my first and likely last new Stellantis purchase.

I have no issues with a goodbye post. In contrast, when it seems you don't have the corrosion issue and certainly have several years of warranty left. Well, it appears to be a strange decision.

It's always amusing that the people that make these threads 'always' get top dollar for their Jeep.

There are Jeep people and “non Jeep” people. The latter group typically depart fairly quickly (poor build quality, noisy, rough riding, suckgas, yada,yada, yada). I’ve said it a hendred times, they are not for everyone. If you drop $60k on a Jeep thinking you’ve got a “premium” vehicle you’re apt to be disappointed?. I always advise newbies to rent one and live with it in THEIR world for at least a week. Would save ‘em a ton of $$. Also, if you guys know where I can buy a year old Jeep for 55% of sticker let me know?

Aren't the prices always increasing? They went up twice while I was waiting on my 2022 to be built.

my dealer called and sent 3 letters a few months back , that they were offering me $68k, a lot more than what i bought it for in April of 22, so they will always keep their value , dono what this dude is talkin bout
