First time Jeep buyer, truely enjoyed the topless and doorless life for just over a year, but have no confidence in Stellantis and decided to divorce myself from them.

Once I learned of Corrosiongate I knew I wasn't going to keep the Jeep beyond the new warranty period. What accelerated my decision was the tanking trade-in values. They are shockingly low (45% on a 2023), so I cut my losses after I found one buyer who wanted exactly my build and paid a little more.

I can see myself buying a cheap 2-door manual beater in the future, though it may not be a JL if they are corroded to dust by then. This was my first and likely last new Stellantis purchase.

Wishing you all many trouble-free miles ahead. ?
Good for you, wish you a new ride without any trouble.

Hopefully you realize that Wranglers are holding strong at #4 in resale value. https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/fo...comes-in-at-number-4-for-resale-value.122554/
Yes, but still falling well behind the expectations of the folks who expected the COVID-induced used-market-bubble to continue growing indefinitely. I remember a handful of people on the forum thinking they could just keep buying new wranglers and selling them for a profit. Sheesh. :CWL:

...and the value of a 2023 Wrangler isn't less than half of the new price unless the jeep was thoroughly thrashed/trashed -- even if the person got completely hosed on both ends of the purchase and trade transactions.

I still like my Jeep.
Me three.
Just got done driving it - just for the fun of it.
I didn't even have any place to go - I just wanted to drive my Jeep.

I am sorry to read about another unsatisfied jeep customer.

In all of my years of driving, I've never owned a vehicle that didn't occasionally need something. As of right now I absolutely LOVE my Jeep! I wash it, I wax it, I rub it down with fluid film real good like, I wake in the morning and give it a wave hello and on occasion sing it a goodnight lullaby by Tina Turner usually ? ?

I don't know if it's just more common these days or if I'm noticing it more. My family just drove our cars until they didn't drive anymore. My first car was a Saturn I drove through high school, then college, then out to the west coast for a couple more years until it finally died on the 405. I think all in I had it for 12 years.
Same here. I had a Wrangler in my early 20s, but sadly had to give it up. I had my 95 GC for 9 years till it died, then bought a Cherokee trailhawk ( it was cool for what it was) and now I'm back in a Wrangler. It's also not my primary vehicle though. I've had several 4x4s over the years, but I like my JL the best so far.

I have own 6 jeeps now. Ranging from 1999 TJ, JKs, and now my second JL.
And I have never had a issue with any of my rigs. I have always MADE money on every JEEP I have owned. They just hold their value!

Stellantis doesn't build, they oversee Jeep. But You either love or hate jeep. However, you never see a sad Jeep owner. Even if there is an issue, WE WANT our rigs back up and running, and you know why?

It's a JEEP. Everyone that doesn't drive or own one, WANTS one!

Ok? Do you need trophy for leaving? Is that what people that post these are looking for? These kinds of posts are just attention seeking behavior and really arent necessary. Its almost as bad as having a 12 page thread about leaving and hating Jeep only to just come crawling back 4 months later.

I think OP is confused. Starts off bashing Stellantis without any reference to any bad personal experience. Not that Stellantis doesn’t deserve the bashing but I don’t think there customer service took a nosedive in 2023 since OP bought his JL. They’ve been trending downward when it comes to quality and service for a while now. It really sounds like OP has decided he couldn’t afford to keep his JL anymore and decided to leave with some pride. I think all used car trade-ins have declined but I think it’s a bit of an exaggeration to say he lost 45% in less than a year. Curious what he traded “UP” to. He didn’t mention that for some reason.
"leave with pride"
But announce his departure like he's going on vacation.

Apologize if I offended anyone's worship of the infallible Stellantis. Please take a moment to remove the tops and doors off your deity and breath some fresh air. ???
