Keeping it!

Just someone not to wave to anymore. I'll be sure to acknowledge that person who you sold it to.

Yes Stellantis and it's dealership networks are the absolute worst to deal with but I'm really enjoying my JL. Wouldn't trade it for anything. Even if someone offered more than I paid for it.

The value of this JaLopy is much more than it's blue book amount. The utility and fun factor is hard to quantify.

If we pass on the road somewhere, oh well...

Best Regards,
Jay

I think the "terrible resale value" is limited to the JL's sold since the price increases. Automakers can set their MSRPs wherever they want, but the market determines the value of the vehicle post-sale. This has always been a great way to detect over-priced vehicles...and the JL today is certainly one.

Those of us who bought before the increases are seeing the classic Wrangler resale values.
Aren't the prices always increasing? They went up twice while I was waiting on my 2022 to be built.

Prices have classically always increased year-over-year, on all vehicles, yes. But those yearly increases were nothing compared to what we've seen since 2021.

For example - my 2021 Silverado - I considered trading up to a new Trail Boss in 2019. Priced out then, it was just over $52k. The 2021 I eventually bought, equipped almost identically, stickered at $53500. The exact same build today is $65625. So from 19-21 MSRP went up about $600/year. Since 21 MSRP went up about $4000/year. As we all know, we now aren't just seeing huge year-over-year increases, we are seeing multiple increases PER YEAR. Pretty much whenever the manufacturer feels like it.

I’m curious where the OP got the 45% figure. Even my 6-year old JL isn’t at that. Unless he’s basing that on some shady dealer’s offer he got locally.

And a “divorce” when everything is going fine??? Reminds me of a Seinfeld episode.

Man I still smile every time I get to drive INDOMINUS, which is every day. My wife's '23 yukon xl has already had its share of issues, and it is just so boring to ride/drive ?

Stellantis customer care is so hit or miss. I had the corrosion problem and I got it filed the DAY BEFORE my 5 year warranty was out, so you all who aren't at 5 years yet just wait...
But even though it has been a PITA to get this done, my JL is going in next week for 4 new doors, new hood, and a full body repaint all covered under warranty. How can I complain about that? It's paid off, I get to drive my '90 k5 beast for a few weeks I guess, but I will survive ?

Usually the people who make these kinds of posts/threads believe that someone from Jeep corporate actually read these. They don't.

I would be more concerned with keeping a 4Xe past warranty than the corrosion. But anyway, adios.

The title of my post was clear and not click-bait. If it's not of interest that's ok. There are plenty of posts where people announce their jeep arrival - are the same people here complaining about those posts too?

I don't mind the discourse but some of your reactions are as if I assaulted your mothers, lol.
