I have the SOT top and like to pull the doors off every chance I get. Weather permitting, I will drive to work, happily knowing the Jeep is out there waiting for my ride home.

I am a doctor, so I go in tech slacks and a polyester button down shirt, short sleeves if possible. Plus I do shave my head. The heat doesn’t bother me. Plus, I work about 1.5 miles from home so the drive is very short anyway, all surface streets, generally 35mph max.

But something just didn’t “feel right” today. Somehow the jeep felt “narrow” and, I didn’t feel as comfortable as I usually do. I’ll give it more time, but I really do prefer the doors on so far.
It did take me a while to get used to it. I dont know but I felt really exposed at first and I didn't like the feeling but after I got used to it I love it now!

I will say that, owning the jeep has rekindled my interest in driving. Was bored with the last vehicle and looked for reasons not to drive. I can’t get enough of it now.

We have the tops off of ours, for several months of the year. But not currently in the AZ heat. Doors have never been off.

Don't work so no clothes issue. Jeep hat for wind. Love the open air. Do use other doors to keep items blowing out. Rarely do highway but when do its windy but tolerable.

Wife not so good with it.

I have tried doors on with Top off this spring. After having July heat most of May that's why doors went on.

Top went on week ago since we have August heat in June, and I prefer not to have sweat running down face driving around running errands. I did try AC with top off early June but not in Texas with this heat we have now. Wind just blows AC away.

The SOT with doors off and rear panels off is basically a little hotter.

Come fall Jeeps open back up. Winters here are not bad, and I would rather wear jacket and enjoy cold air.

I love doors off and top down season, which begins in early spring for me. Working from home helps me take those suckers off early :like:.

The tube doors with netting are nice to have. I also have a Spiderweb shade that stays on (fits under the soft top) for some shade. But I love convertibles, so am a bit of a dork when it comes to vehicles going topless.

Same here. Never felt right when I have taken the doors off, and honestly it just doesn't do anything for me. Fine for those that enjoy it, but not for me.

I very much enjoy running with the doors off but, I'm usually rocking "Safari mode" with tube doors.

I like riding around doors off in my 4xe. However, there is MUCH more noise and buffeting than in my 2dr JK. Maybe its because I’m older but there even seems to be more noise and buffeting with the top off and doors on than the JK, Neither particularly bother me, just a comparison.

Rest of the family is not a huge fan of doors off so I don’t do it that often and why I went the cheap route on mirrors with the Quadratecs.

I take the doors off every chance I get. I leave them on if I have a long (1hr+) highway trip for work so I can use the phone but weekends and tooling around town there is nothing like it! In fact one of my spring chores is to remove all the self closer bolts so the doors come off that much faster.

My front doors are off always unless it's cooler than 55 degrees or rain is in the forecast. Rear doors have to stay on because I have two toddlers. I use Carolina Metal Masters mirrors when the doors are off. Top is usually up and windows on because my little ladies like to be able to talk to one another. On the weekends the windows are usually off as well. Like others I also like to keep my foot on the peg out the door. I do try to avoid highways with the doors off though.

Doors off is incredible. It's like riding a motorcycle but a hundred million times safer. If anything, I'd rather have the doors off than the top so I'm not just baking in the sun, but typically it's both doors and top off and I leave the front two freedom panels on until I find a sun shade that I like.

I've done big 5+ hour trips with no top or doors from LA area all the way up to Mammoth in the summer. 102+ degrees going north up the 395 but you can see snow on the Sierras. A cool ~75 up at altitude where we were exploring. Maybe not for everyone but I love the experience of it.

I keep my doors off and roof on all summer. I don't really notice wind buffetting, but that might be because I have a two door. I rented a 4 door on vacation once and drove around with the back window open (hardtop). Although i hear you aren't supposed to do that, I didn't notice any issues and the airflow was great.
