One of my favorite builds on here! If I ever get a driveway, higher garage opening, or street parking I am getting that Expedition one rack.

This rig needs to be able to:
- Cruise the interstate at 85mph all day long, with my wife being comfortable behind the wheel.
Is this still true? ?

On the topic of my Expedition One roof rack, I need to mention the build quality on it.

The finish still looks like I just installed it even after a couple of salty Chicago winters and a lot of use. I can't say that about every aftermarket manufacturers finish I've used on my Jeeps. Expedition One got it right??

I have 4:56's and I can run 80ish if it's not uphill but she struggles to find the right gear up in the mountains. I am thinking 5:13's next but my wife has me on a jeep upgrade hold for a little bit! HAHA

What do you measure with the Rack ground to top?

Are you running the 3.6L/Auto?

I'm running 4:88's with the 37" Nittos (they run a little closer to stated size) and it's very close to what my Jeep felt like with the stock 33's and 4:10's. I think the 5:13's would be great, maybe even 4.88's?

Can you measure your new 38"KM3's just as a comparison to my Nitto's? That would be good info when selecting gears.

When I get home, I'll measure the rack height for you.

I went to the 38 Nittos, and I think they are 36.75 (30lbs PSI), will doublecheck when I get home

We felt a noticeable difference in lack of power from 37 KM3's to the 38 Nittos, are yours measuring 36 ish?

My mistake, I thought you were on the KM3's. I'll measure both the tire size and rack height when I get home. I'll get back to you today.

Thank you! I currently sit at 79" and the garage (82"). Our next house will have a driveway then I don't have to worry about this.

I finally got around to getting some paint on the rear frame rails. I said it before, I really don't like the paint Jeep is using to coat their frames...it's thin, open and is allowing rust. We see some salty winters here living in the Midwest.

I previously did this with the front frame rails and spring perches.

Here's some before and after pics. After washing everything off, I wiped the frame down with lacquer thinner, did a quick masking off and applied a several coats of Rustoleum Black semi-gloss spray paint.

So much better now!

We don’t get much rain at all and definitely no snow But still get the rust from just washing and the little rain we do get. I actually take it a step further and ceramic coat all my suspension parts from my lift kit. Pretty much ceramic coat everything. Makes clean up a breeze.

Hey Steven. Not sure if its "Great minds think alike" or OCD. Probably a little of both.
I have been using the Gtechniq Crystal Serum Light (sounds like a flavored water) for a few years now. Really seems to hold up. Full disclosure all my stuff is garaged.
Nice video. I might have to give Chem guys a try. I need something that will be easier on a motorhome.
