All I can say is your story was great, enjoy that JLUR. Also gave me a few flashbacks to NVG's definitely a must have-these days you need/want to have these-Steiner m2080 20x80 Porro prism bino's 2675-well worth it and the fun when you stop and look around.

Might snag a set to throw in the jeep! We usually have a Leupold Mk4 Spotter set up with ranging finding and IR capability, but the tripod setup is a bit of a beast to lug around.

The Teraflex rear track bar bracket and MC will likely be redundant, I’m just using the MC track bar on my 3.5” GameChanger kit.

Ran some trails last night during a winter camping trip. Made it up climbs and through snow banks with a few feet of snow. Jeep ran great, lockers made a huge difference.

One thing I have found to be a pain in the butt is airing up and down with the MOPAR beadlock tires. The beadlock rim is wide enough that it makes unscrewing the valve stem and screwing on any attachments very difficult. Oh well. Price you pay!

Any issues rubbing with the 37s and no lift?

not at full turn, even when deflated to 8psi. Haven’t had the chance to flex is really well with the snow though, so can’t speak to vertical travel yet.

Please flex it out before you install your lift.
Those of us with non XR can add 1.5"-2" pucks and run 37s if this is the case.

So many things to post up based on recent work and not enough time. I recently got the Midland MXT400 installed. I mounted it inside the center console and did the wiring under the passenger seat. I also wired in a Voswitch JL200 and set the GRMS radio as the first rocker with some 160’ LED floods from Quadratec on KC HiLite A pillar hood mounts as rocker 2. Molle Panel Solutions custom cut the rear drivers side panel for the trunk to fit over my ARB compressor, super impressed with their work.

The MetalCloak Gamechanger 3.5” got installed today. I probably got 3-4” of additional lift from the already lifted XR package. Very frustrating that I told the installer to only use 1 bump stop puck and they still put in all 3. Very clear in pics below that I will need to take a few out. They said they usually adjust that after a client comes back for the 500 mile retorque. Seriously, don’t they cycle a suspension during install??

We also picked up a handful of Motorola XTS2500 (the milspec radio version with AES encryption) so we can run the radios with Peltor III and Peltor V and PTTs. This will let us chat back and forth hands free on the highway with the tops down and doors off. As demonstrated, Captain Brodie has his comms already ready!

Did some adjusting on the front bump stops to go from 3 pucks down to 2. Pic below of it fully flexed in front. Dont think I can go shorter without bottoming the shock! I am using the outboard shock brackets. PS-adjusting the front bump stops and getting to the nuts underneath on the axle, particularly on the passenger side, is a royal pain in the ass.

also loving these Quadratec 160’ flood LEDs. They perfectly light up the sides of trails.

Trying to attach video of some off reading we enjoyed in the 60F+ weather today in NH up in Henniker. Headed back to 40s next week.

Brodie enjoyed having the top partially removed on the drive up for sure!

Hit a pothole on a class VI road in NH and bent my axle. Completely mind blown that it flexed. It has turned into an insurance claim to fund a fully blown Dynatrak ProRock 44 with RCV shafts, their ballpoints, their high-clearance hub, etc.

Good news is the gears, axle shafts, and locker are totally fine in the old axle. It flexed right next to the C on the driver’s side and not significantly, just enough for me not to trust it going forward. I am going to try to sell the eLocker, gears, and axle shafts to offset the cost.

It has been a long time since I threw a post up on the build! Lot’s of new updates. Put on a Dynatrac ProRock 44 front axle with RCV shafts, Rancho rear control arm/shock skid plates, MetalCloak rear Dana 44 dif skid.

We did about 20+ miles of driving last week. Here is a quick video.

Jesus. What kind of pothole and what speed were you going? I don't know if I'm impressed or scared shitless you bent the thickest axle Wranglers can get on a pot hole.

On a side note, what a great thread. As a Canadian I can fully appreciate some good snow wheeling. Lol.

I was going maybe 10mph.

After pulling the axle off, I cant actually see any bend. Certainly less than the bowing that TrailRecon uncovers when Dynatrac put on his ProRock 44. Still a solid and usuable axle.

I think people underestimate the impact of running 37s though. Def bent the tie rod end.
