I googled, but couldn't find anything useful.
How much would it cost to add rear steer to the JLs?
And cons to having rear steer for a mostly daily driven, weekend warrior jeep? I do moderate to near hardcore crawling.

I'd say to do it right your looking at $20k by the time you buy an entire steer axle and the hydraulic steering components and pump to make it work. Not to mention being that you're running a front axle in reverse all the time you'd want at least a Dana 60 as the gears are weaker running them that way. Way more trouble than it's worth, especially in a mostly daily driver. If you want a buggy....buy/ build a buggy.

Even if it was easy and inexpensive, I don’t think I’d do it, I don’t need any help getting myself in a pickle Offroad…. But then again, getting out of it is where a lot of the fun is, so I guess I’m glad it’s expensive and not worth it….🤣

Think how much easier parallel parking would be…winning!

Adding that level of system complexity to a DD is just asking for many days of finding an alternative to get to work. When you look at rear steer production vehicles like the GM pickups that had it ~20 years ago, you see that they had safety features to prevent uncontrolled movement at high speeds, which would be catastrophic. These features are designed to be "fail safe" because of the consequences of failing "hard over". A true crawler is going so slow that a hard over failure isn't life threatening.

It's impractical and for most it's irresponsible for a DIY highway vehicle.

This would come in handy as long as it tucked up enough not to decrease departure angle.…🤣

I’m waiting for Jeep to partner with DARPA especially for the suspension system
