No power to my winch so no one can mess with it but more important, in a front end accident It helps prevent a short / fire. What's with the winch power??? On my old jeep the winch was just wired to the batter and you simply plugged in the controls.
@OpusOn a related note... can anyone recommend a tutorial or YT video for how to wire an accessory to an aux switch?
Could you tell me how you wired your dometic fridge to the aux switch? I bought the dometic hard wire kit but the 10 ga wire with the kit is bigger than the aux switch wiring (14ga?) and I'm wondering if that is a problem. I want the dometic fridge to be hooked up to my dometic plb40 and I want that only hooked up to a switched connection since the plb40 doesn't have battery protection (and I have a manual so passing thru firewall more complicated). Thanks! I can only find a couple youtube videos that talk about the wire size difference and there's always someone in the comments saying not a smart idea.
- 7" LEDs on the front bumper
- 20" amber LED bar under bumper
- LEDs in rear bumper for setting up camp
- Dometic fridge
Mine is the Dometic DC30, so there's a good chance that it draws less power than yours. I just ran it to aux switch 4 since it draws so little juice. I didn't, however, do the full verification that I wasn't going to overload it. No issues...so far.Could you tell me how you wired your dometic fridge to the aux switch?
