I went down this path a little over a year ago.

Started looking at a Rubicon 3.6 and 6 speed.
But wanted XR and other options so then started looking at the Rubicon X.
Ended up buying a 392. Because if you're going to spend $70K+ on a Jeep why not go all the way and spend $90K+ and get a fucking V8 while you're at it.

Yeah I mean I’d consider that if the 2 door existed in 392 but as it is I have the choice of turbo 4 if I want auto tranny.

I have a '24 Willys with the 2.0 and the engine is fine. It's not going to win any races, but is also not a dog. It's nothing like the 4 cylinder several generations ago.

You ever ordered mopar parts and install them yourself?

They all say the same thing, "MADE IN CHINA".

I'll give you that, if you're the kind of person who takes your Jeep to the dealership, and you never install any of your own OEM parts, I could see how you could easily miss that.
The window sticker is fraudulent? Violating those federal laws would be a massive (and extremely obvious) scandal.

I'm not saying you're necessarily wrong, but the implications would be immense.

While Dert is most assuredly exaggerating replacement parts arent held to the same standard as the assembly parts and Im sure a bunch more of them are made in china to save a buck.

The required conspiracy involved would be massive. Pretty much everyone in the procurement division (and elsewhere) would know about it. Someone that left the company with a grievance would obviously turn them in.

Does anyone have a 2.0 turbo? My first YJ was a 4 banger and it was a complete slow turd. I may try and go test drive one this morning.

seemingly the automatic tranny works better for my family as the wife could then use it. The JLU with the 6 cyl and automatic had a little of pep to it and the test drive left me feeling yes I want this but of course jeep ain’t currently offering that and left over 2024 are more than new 2025.
Honestly I would recomend the 2.0 with the AT 8spd. It's the best combo available right now.

Thank you I think this is the route I am going to go. Just waiting on Brian at Koons to get me pricing with automatic.

I am also figuring 3 days after I order stellantis will say hey 3.6 auto is backkk LOL I took 2 2.0 for a test drive today. Willys big wheel and the one with 32s both had 2.0 and both seemed fine. I got it up to 80 without and issue and it was not sluggish going up a hill. I just wanted to research to ensure everyone was not saying these things kaboom easy. I always get nervous I will end up with a Lemon or a Friday 4:58 special.

My 2 Door Rubicon 2.0 was built the Friday after Thanksgiving 2022 and so far other than a missing bolt in the steering stabilizer and the gasket between the windshield frame and the body just not there its been rock solid.

Oh yea I wasnt that happy about either but what you gonna do right? The dealer took both issues extremely seriously and were fixed within a few days for diag/waiting on parts. I was really impressed they figured out the water leak as quick as they did cause those can be a whore to find.

I really like it but Im also not really worried about turbo engines. Theyve been around long enough and this one isnt solely designed by chrysler so itll be as fine as any other modern engine. Im at 36k miles and its handled the 35s with 4.10s without a question for 24k of that. I can also get 20+mpg if I really really try but I hate myself after the trip lol.
