I would appreciate some help from any of you who are shock and spring gurus.

After two years and a descent amount of off-roading I finally did a number on my stock plastic rear bumper. Since I was new to wranglers I had made it my goal to wait and see how my JLUR handled different types of terrain while also evaluating how it was as a daily driver. One thing became abundantly clear which was I liked how my wrangler handled in it’s stock configuration in almost every situation. I disliked my buddies Bronco on 35s as it felt tank like on the trail compared to my Rubicon which felt way more agile. (I know, completely different suspension setups, but others on here have stated larger lift and larger tires = more tank like feel)

With that in mind I wanted to keep my geometry as close to stock as I could. Fast forward and I now have a Metal Cloak Full Width Rear Bumper on order which should weigh 70lbs. I will be ordering the front bumper and a winch which should be a combined weight of a 140lbs.

That should be an approximate increase of over 140lbs total from the front and rear stock bumpers. With an increase of 105lbs on the front springs and an increase of 35lbs on the rear springs.

In an effort to prevent sag and keep the handling near stock should I upgrade the springs? I know Jeep offers different spring rate based on different options. Which would best fit for this setup? If the springs are upgraded should I get better shocks? If so what shocks would give me the best everyday ride and still be able to handle trails rated at a max of around 6 or moderate depending on your rating scheme.

Other factors to consider, but not sure how it would affect this equation are that I plan on upsizing the tires from 285/70/17 to 295/70/17 which should increase the tire weight by about a max of 20lbs each depending in the brand I go with.

Apologize for the long winded question. Just wanted to give as much detail as I could.
