Was the 6/auto available on 24’s ? There might be an acceptable one available if so, inventory can be searched. Your chosen dealer might even be able to get it from the other dealer. My 05 4R was a dealer transfer as were both my 73 and 07 HD’s
not in granite crystal. two options i found a blue one 6 hours away and a gray one 7 hours away. I never thought it would be this hard to order a jeep

So you have to choose your priorities, drivetrain or color. I typically have a 1’st, 2,nd, and 3’rd color choice. This can vary if the color needs to be broken up with at least black fenders. I first accepted a black one (3’rd choice) that the ordering customer backed out of, but when the dealer called and said it should be there in ~2 weeks he pressured me for $5K over “We have an agreed price”. Two weeks later he called “Bad news, there was a “glitch” in the system and we didn’t get the allocation” not even a good lie. First choice would have been Snazzy if black fenders were available, ordered blue.

I am really loving my 25 Willys. it's been like 23 yrs since I got rid of the YJ and I was in the same boat. WILLYS or Rubicon? I ultimately decided Willys for the cost. plan to do some mods later on, also fell in love with the mojito color.

well I am down to 4 options

1. Anvil color 24 rubicon 6 cyl automatic
2. Blue color 24 rubicon 6cyl automatic
3. Order a 25 granite crystal 6 speed
4. Wait and see if they ever open ordering a 25 with a 6 cylinder automatic.

Right now even with them really trying to move 24s the 25 is my cheapest option from Koons. The dealer on the anvil came down 1k i told the sales guy to keep working on him and every time he tells him to sell something tell him he has a guy close on the 2 door rubicon.

#3 is the only correct choice of your four.

if the #3 option comes with the lowest price then this is a no brainer. Go with #3.

Man I love my 24 two door Rubi-X. I wanted the 5 position transfer case (4 Hi Auto) for when there is a mix of snow and pavement so I can leave it in 4Hi Auto and not worry about damaging the 4WD system. If you're into music, build a nice playlist with the proper album art because wireless Carplay on the 12.3 screen is so easy and gorgeous. Have had a blast at some of the easier trails and at the Jeep Academy class...just crazy what a Rubi can do. I ordered thanks to @Ratbert and saved a ton. I know it's really quite trivial, but the window sticker with my name on it from the factory is something I'll keep.

Funny you mention the window sticker. I had a dealer locate me a 23 Ram. It was a complete turd. So their solution was to have me custom order a 2024 exactly the way I wanted it.

Lazy delivery prep guy walked in it and crumpled it. I had to go to GSM to get them to order a replacement because I wanted the one with my name on it.

so I get you super cool to have. Ordering is the cheapest option right now so probably the route I will go and hope the 6 speed does not blow up on me.

Where are you getting that information? According to my window sticker over 80% of mine was made in North America. That explicitly excludes final assembly, distribution, and other non-parts costs.
You ever ordered mopar parts and install them yourself?

They all say the same thing, "MADE IN CHINA".

I'll give you that, if you're the kind of person who takes your Jeep to the dealership, and you never install any of your own OEM parts, I could see how you could easily miss that.

Don't compare my Jeep to your Heap.
You sound like chicken little...maybe you have the bird flu or the measles?

You didn't answer the question. It's easy to recommend other people to spend their money. Little bit different when you're willing to put your own money down!

I'd hate to see your financial portfolio! Probably a complete mess of poorly timed buy-ins, and sales in the red. :puke:

Does anyone have a 2.0 turbo? My first YJ was a 4 banger and it was a complete slow turd. I may try and go test drive one this morning.

seemingly the automatic tranny works better for my family as the wife could then use it. The JLU with the 6 cyl and automatic had a little of pep to it and the test drive left me feeling yes I want this but of course jeep ain’t currently offering that and left over 2024 are more than new 2025.
