  1. Low Cost Jeep Sport Uogrades?

Has anyone figured out how to put power door locks on a base Sport? I could live without power windows no problem but i'd like power doors. Doable?
  2. Share Lease Deals on both the 4xe and regular Wranglers

Smart move to buy it immediately. That $19K seems very high. The MF was likely very high. So this is a good strategy if you don't qualify for EV tax rebates. Lease it and then buy it after picking it up.
  3. About 2 buy my 1st Jeep, need help!

You should be able to get a brand spanking new base stripped down Rubicon for $52K. Once you use @Ratbert's method.
  4. Northeast Dealership Discount - Fitzpatrick's

Why no mention of manual transmission? Does that not get the full float rear axle? Or it gets it but the tow rating is lower?
  5. Six speed manual versus eight speed, automatic, disadvantages and advantages

Could someone share the mpg impact of going to 4.88 ratio in a manual compared to 4.10 on a Willy or a Rubicon?? How much of a hit should one expect in city and hwy?
  6. Share Lease Deals on both the 4xe and regular Wranglers

I am quite familiar with your good work, @Ratbert. I was hoping to get data points from others on the current lease deals. You have compiled list of dealers with good rebate off MSRP but there is little info on lease deals. I am sure others will also benefit from some lease examples that show...
  7. Share Lease Deals on both the 4xe and regular Wranglers

I wanted to start this thread to track lease deals. With Jeep claiming the $7500 rolled into the lease payment thereby reducing the adjusted capitalized cost by $7500 on the 4xe, I have to think the lease cost would be lower than average vehicles. And the residuals should be high well because it...
  8. Driver side cylinder low compression 3.6 Pentastar

Not sure what the powertrain warranty rules are in Canada. If you have just crossed it, it might be worthwhile making a case to your dealer to give you a deal on this repair.
  9. **Price Up 61%, Sales Down 34%** - Last 5 Years for Jeep

Is it just my impression or the price escalation in the last 5 years has been primarily in upper trims and option prices? I think a base Sports with manual windows has not seen the same price increase.
  10. Stellantis changes the terms on my 36mo Lease!!

As some others have said, the biggest benefit to leasing a Jeep is you can get the full $7500 tax credit baked into the lease. There must be a good number of Jeep customers who don't qualify for this tax rebate when they purchase this vehicle so leasing will get them this amount. That should...
  11. What is the point of the limited slip differential?

I find it odd Jeep seems to have removed the LSD from most of their builds. It is just not listed as an option in the Build My Jeep page.
  12. Dry Start A Good Idea?

Ok this explanation helps. The correct term in that case is not dry start but dry crank. I was not aware pressing the accelerator and hitting the start cranks the engine but does not start the car. Why would they build this capability? What is the use case they did this feature for?
  13. What I learned at the dealership today, with pics [search terms: Rubicon 392, 2.0L, SOT, hardtop]

I work for the outside company that provides connectivity to Jeep and other OEMs in North America. You are needlessly worrying about this. Your vehicle has a standalone (not tied to your personal cellphone) cellular service (SIM based) with connectivity to internet endpoints. These connected...
  14. Dry Start A Good Idea?

I understand the overarching concern is oil drains after some time and engine is left with little to no oil at the time of start up. The OP mentions they have been dry starting every day by supposedly putting flat foot on brake and gas. I don't quite follow what that means. They are putting foot...
  15. Dry Start A Good Idea?

Could someone kindly explain what dry starting is?
  16. Think Jeep will change their mind on painted roof & leather in the rubicon?

Willy does not come with 4.10. That is exclusive to the Rubi.
  17. What's wrong with these lease numbers...

You only have $13,630 equity from your trade-in. They are giving you $70K but you have to deduct the amount you still owe. Digging into it further, I noticed the rent charge alone is $15,740. What in the God's name are they charging you for money factor!!
  18. Fair Price for 2021 392

This is a 3 year old vehicle. The discount would have to be significantly more to make this worthwhile.
  19. 4.56 or 4.88? Manual transmission JLUR on 35's

Is there any advantage to 4.88 if you are running the stock 33” Rubi tires?
  20. Model Year 2024 changes?

If the interior is going to undergo any changes, they will squeeze in the new UConnect into the dash. They have been stalling this for couple of years now and it is long due. I can't imagine they will end production of manual transmission this early in the electrification process. I would give...
