My 2 cents for what's worth:

There are a lot of really good AT tires on the market to choose from. Include your daughter in which tire/tread she will be happy with. This way you're not buying another set of tires. Once you both have agreed on a tire do a little research to make sure the tire has a good reputation.

I'm with her; I love the aggressive offroad look especially on a Jeep. An All-Terrain tire is an excellent choice and I believe it will have its advantages.

Best of luck in your decision my friend.

I have reviewed many threads this forum but the most people are wanting bigger but my interest is different.

I am wanting new tires for my daughters JLU. She never leaves the pavement but wants the off-road look. The tire size I am looking for is 265/70R17 load range C. I am thinking more of a road tread but with some sidewall lugs. We want a smooth ride, good road manners, not too loud, yet not a car tire look.

They will be going on stock Rubicon wheels. Have thought about Nitto G2, Falken Wildpeak A/T3W as options.

Any personal experience with similar requirements will be appreciated.

P.s. We have KO2 on another Jeep and she likes the look but I am thinking a little more street tread.
The Falkens are phenomenal tires the last set I had made it 101k miles before replacing although actually should have been replaced around 75k but still good life. They were super quiet wouldn't hesitate to put my kids on them.

I had a set of the Falken Wildpeak ATs on my 4Runner….put a ton of highway miles on them and they were excellent in all weather situations.

The Pirelli or BFG Trail might be the ticket, I will go look at them. On load range, the stock tires are something like 115 which I guess is like SL and I assume that is like the KO2 C1. Any reason to look at load range E1?, would E1 ride firmer?

Falken Wildpeak AT3W’s are a great all-around tire. Good, long lasting tread and have a nice aggressive look to them. Ride smooth and quiet. And you might be able to get a low mileage gladiator takeoff set of them like I did for cheap. ?

Take a look at the Bridgestone Revo 3's. Had them on my Tacoma, and just put a set on the 2017 JK

You really don't need or want an load range E tire.

I had FAT3W 265/70/17 on my JLU for 3 years 30k miles. They are very good to great in every situation from Mid-West to Colorado to Arizona.

Just did a full market review for my next set for new Jeep. Watched or read dozens of comparos and hundreds of reviews. Ended up buying same in 275/60/20 for our new 4XE. While others might be as good, FAT3W are great.

How are they in the rain, any experience?
I don't have any experience with the BFG Trail Terrains but the reviews say they are no good in rain. I was considering them for wives JLU but decided no because of the reviews.

I put a set of the Wildpeak AT3's on my wife's old WK2 Trailhawk and when we traded it she was thrilled that her new to her JLUR had them on it. When I put the 3.5" lift on it, she wanted to stick with the AT3's but she chose KM3's instead (mainly because of the cost of the AT3's were higher thanthe KM3's).

Another vote for the Falken Wildpeak A/T3W with load rating C. I swapped out the KO2s on my Rubicon with about 25k miles due to a bad ride quality. I was hoping it was the tires before I tore into my front end. It solved it. These tires ride way better than the KO2s.

so . . . . 285/70/17 KO2's in C weigh 51.37. The Falkens are 63.71. That's a lot of extra weight for the same size tire!! I'll stick with the BFG's.

I should have specified...I got the P285/70/17, the non-truck version. These weigh about the same as the KO2s.

The Bridgestone Dueller a/t came as an option on my wife's JL, they have really good street manners for an A/T yet looks somewhat aggressive.
