I haven’t had a 4x4 that made a decent noise since my old Xterra. The VQ40 with a manual sounded terrific. Liked to rev, too.

My 2017 rebel sounded good stock, and amazing with just a muffler swap. Maybe that's why I'll never understand the "V6 sounds so much better" comments, it's still trash. I'd remote start the truck every time just to hear it from the outside. The jeep only gets remote started if I'm trying to get the AC or heat to temp.

Less so in person after burn in. In 8th gear you don't hear a thing. 2k RPM + it's there a little, but nothing spectacular or offensive.

Nah, a turbo 4 sounds like a turbo 4 so not a lot of players out there. I went with the Magnaflow Rock Crawler because it's light and tucks up high. Gets rid of both the stock resonator and muffler. It doesn't sound offensive, but it doesn't sound amazing. Recommend the exhaust specifically for the clearance and lack of restriction behind the turbo, but not for sound.



Had the same exhaust on my 3.6 in my JK and it was rowdy there:

I kind of like the sound of the Banks exhaust, but I doubt it will ever be available for the 2-door.

We arent rock crawling the thing man none of that matters, what matters is keeping the floor boards from sanding through when you bottom out at 60+mph in gravel or sand.

But calling them not low is flat wrong. Rally cars are low for a reason, corners at speed mostly, but they are low.

I may or may not have been frustrated with being late due to Markus' battery issues. And, hypothetically speaking, this may have been borne out in my arrival speed.
