Um...HOW ABOUT THE ENTIRE TURBO AND ASSOCIATED PLUMBING, CONTROLS, AND WIRING?!?!

LOL the 2.0l has an ENTIRE INDUCTION SYSTEM that the 3.6l doesn't. It's definitely more complicated. 2.0 guys keep droning on about internal things...we're not concerned about internal things that every engine has. The 3.6l is missing an entire subsystem that is historically known to cause problems...not just on Jeeps, not just for FCA, but for every make that's ever produced such a system. Both these engines have internal issues, but the 3.6l isn't saddled with a compressor and all the complication that goes with it.
I'll go one step further.

Turbos are not preferred in offroad and dusty environments for obvious reasons.

If you plan to use your jeep offroad, NA is the way to go.

Says the guy trying to say they are low compared to a 4" lifted Jeep lol
They are low, about the same as most cars. Who said anything about a lifted jeep? Again, the impreza has the breakover angle of a type R, that comes with aero from the factory.

At their highest they are...stock cherokee height. Sure, it's not low for a car but that's low...especially on a JL forum.

Are you running without an air filter or something?
I edited my post: horrible was the wrong word.

Turbos are historically not a great option from a dust and wear standpoint. In addition throttle control and torque curve can also negatively affect offroad control and performance.

Lastly air filter or not, dust still gets through, nothing is perfect and the turbo pressures vs NA are much higher obviously. Leading to possible seal and bearing failure, then possible more further down the line.

Maybe the 2.0 will get an electric turbo here soon. That might shut up the last person arguing against them about supposed "turbo lag".

I'll take any microscopic amount of turbo lag in the 2.0 over having to wait for the 3.6 to wheeze up to 4 grand to make any power and then bog when it grabs the next gear.

Bricks and shoes have no bearing on the fact NA powered vehicles are better, more reliable than forced induction for offroading.

The backhanded remarks are garbage.
Shoes are more reliable than powered vehicles for off roading.

Someone really should tell all those SxS manufacturers that they don't know what they're doing putting turbos on their desert-oriented machines
