Hell yeah, it can handle it! You should see it decline down hill on the spiral on the parking structure. I could post a video on that if you would like to see it.

Yes i would lol. There are plenty outdoor trail videos. But what we really are missing is the mall performance videos. How am i supposed to know what reactions i will get from people on mall trails.

Yeah definitely go for Metalcloack or Clayton because "damn it, should have spent a little more" lol. In all seriousness I’m really happy with what I have but I’d be lying if I said I’m good for the life of the Jeep. I didn’t have the money or the knowledge at the time. Now that I do I think it’s reasonable to spend $3500 on a good FULL suspension lift including adjustable upper and lower control arms, shocks, springs, the works.
I think you left out the install cost lol. While i do some car work myself and can probably install it. I think to get this stuff set up correct i would rather go to a place that specialize in off road parts install.

I did Clayton 2.5 inch like 2 weeks ago, so far I am loving it. Haven't been off-road though.
Down the road when I "need" 3.5, I believe I can just buy the springs and sway bar end links.

The higher you go, the need for a Drive shaft increases
Ill check em out. Yeah im trying to keep myself from going too deep down the rabbit hole. I would deff think bigger if i lived on the west cost-ish area. But not a fan of trails here, its mostly mud and woods with no views. Not big on mudding, did it few times and then its like go once, and wash ur car 3 times after that lol. So im trying to not cheap out but also realistically think how many trips out west ill end up doing where i would have actual use for high end stuff. Wish they had a train from east to west cost with you riding with your car.

The more i read the more im starting to think 3.5 to help future me from saying should have went bigger lol. Can you send me a link at what setup specifically. I start googling stuff and even tho i put name specifically, other things start popping up with it. And then i realize im looking at something else already. Thanx

youll have to choose the specific motor/model/shocjs/etc. the Rocksport Reds are a good shock, the Rocksport blacks are an amazing shock. Either way you can’t go wrong.

I just did this for a lady. She wanted something that didn’t drain her piggy bank but wanted the ability to add onto it as she got more into wheelin….. The no shock package is 1390 ish…

As for my recommendation it’s always RK,MC, Clayton in that order…..I pull a lot of the other lifts off after the lift fails or the person realizes they should have did it right the first time……

If you have any questions, regardless of which way you go, you can shoot me a DM…

Also RK is in Latham I think…….

Yeah I forget about that with people. I would do it myself just like I did this one so I guess you would have to factor that in.

I guess even if doing it by yourself the other charge would be just getting it aligned. I don’t do that myself.

I did it in my garage with the help from this awesome forum members and crap load of YT videos. Before doing this lift, I had not even looked at a suspension, let alone modify one.

It was bad when I was reading the instructions that said take out the LCA and I had to look up what LCA looks like lol.

Anyway, I got it done, then took it to a Jeep shop for alignment.

I know this sounds cheesy, but honestly, if I can do it, anyone else can as well. I am very stubborn, that helped a lot.

I mean my brother works in a body shop and i do know my way around as well like i said. Just they do regular cars, and can we get it installed? Of course lol. But i feel going to people that specialize the will adjust things to factor things in (given i get a setup with adjustable items lol). And ye, sadly almost noone ever knows an alignment person that is like their friend and willing to do it for free haha.

I just feel if i get a setup with some adjustability in it might be better to go to a place that knows exactly what their doing. Would not be great to get some expansive-ish setup and not having it adjusted for best results.

If you want to keep it budget friendly, MC Rocksport Reds are the best bang for the buck….

Just make sure you get some adjustable sway bar links if you plan on using the electronic disconnect, these shocks have a lot of travel and you don’t want to risk inverting the sway bar…….

Fox 2.5 IFP, Fox 2.5 Elite resi , RK RRD 2.25s, RK RRDTT, are some others that pair well…also RK offers Bilstien 5100s now with some of their kits, but I don’t have ass-in-seat experience with them yet…
Shock feel is so subjective, it’s hard to recommend a certain one….
