Im currently running 35s on my 2020 Rubicon and as my tires needs replacing soon im thinking about making the jump to 37s. I know they will fit without a lift for on road use and i will probably need to regear in the near future but one step at a time. I dont do alot of off-roading because I live in NY and not a fan of anything local-ish. I did drive out to Moab and did "Top of the World" trail on my 35s with no lift, nd now plan on doing something in Colorado. After some reading, i guess doing a mopar, rough country or something similar is probably not the way to go as i see alot of people a "ehhhh" about them (corect me if im wrong). So doing a 2.5in lift seems like a good choice for my amount of offroading. So obveously not looking for the cheapest setup, but not crazy expansive nether. Dont want to buy used parts as idk how much use was put on them. Probably wont go past 37s as thats a whole different endevor lol. So im ready to be schooled :)

If you're looking for a good combination of parts while keeping a budget in mind, you could run the Rancho Lift with Mopar's longer lower control arms to regain some caster. There are a few members here (including @wibornz) who have wheeled this setup and are very pleased.

We actually installed most of that kit a few weeks ago on my son's '20 JLUR. At the time, most of the online sources were out of the complete kits, so he got the simple setup which included everything but the shocks and then he ordered Rancho RS7MTs separately. He also sprung for new wheels and Cooper 37x12.50s. I've driven it a few times, and I'm impressed with how it rides. He is as well, and he commutes 60-70 miles a day with it.

If you aren't interested in a long arm suspension, a 3.5" Metalcloak mid arm is a good place to start. Among the most for travel and articulation.

You can keep the cost down by going with the Rocksport red shocks. They work very well and have incredible travel. The ride quality is great. They are limited for extended washboard or dips where they can fade from heat. But that's a corner case scenario for most of us.

You will need adequate wheel backspace to clear in the extreme limits of articulation. I've run 3.5" and 4.5" backspace with 37s. You can squeak by with 4.5" until you get extreme articulation and turn to the limits. Then you'll get interference and start damaging stuff. 3.5" backspace will clear in extreme conditions.

The 3.5 inch Metalcloak lift is the gold standard…see what I did there? I have a Rock Krawler 3.5 inch lift which is also a very reputable brand.

I’ll add this and I understand you are not looking for used….

If you can afford it from what I’ve read and seen on the trail Metalcloack or Clayton are awesome.

If you are in a budget and want 2-2.5” get someone’s factory XR springs and a set of shocks and some longer LCA from mopar. I did this with a Teraflex spacer upfront to level it out…whole thing was less than $300. I can’t speak for 37’s but I have a really decent amount of flex…I’m not competitive with extreme full suspension set ups but still pretty flexy

I wheel with this guy on 43s. Makes my 37s seem…inadequate

He can probably drive that thing through Little Sluice with one hand while eating an engine burrito.

It looks like a nice ride for sure but I bet you're feeling inadequate about your tiny 37"s in a warm cabin and heated seats. 😄

With the 10 speaker Alpine system, of course.

2.5-3.5” MetalCloak Gamechanger. Great lift. Reach out if you have questions. 👍🏽

I was feeling inadequate with my 40s when this Jeep parked next to me in Moab this spring.

I agree with the recommendation for a Metalcloak 3 1/2" lift for your needs. My Jeep with the tiny 40s is on a Metalcloak 4 1/2" lift.

OMG that makes 40"s look small!

Also agree 3.5" MetalCloak or RockCrawler lift. Buy once Cry once.
