I noticed the same thing, we go fishing on the E. Carson river quite a bit and our first trip from the Central Valley over Carson Pass we got 18.1 mpg, put a few more miles on it and the next trip was19.4 mpg. The 21.7 we got on our last trip over the pass was with 1654 miles on it. I just turned 2400 miles and am looking forward to seeing what i get next week on our next trip over there.

I just saw you are in Ceres. I swear I get better mileage on 99 than I do on 5. I’m farther north in Lodi and travel both frequently. Ironically that crazy mpg I got following a school bus was on a field trip down by you out in hilmar.

I'm at 600+ miles on the ticker and averaging just around 18-20 depending. The first tank or two was about 16 mpg or thereabouts but seems to be creeping up slowly.

Anyone with a 2.0 Rubicon can let me know what they're getting? I've seen a lot of posts from folks, but they don't always post their setup.
I'm curious what a 2.0 Rubicon with steel bumpers is getting stock tires or with 35/lift.

The 1,200 mile delivery (JLUR loaded, 3.6L) from AR to FL in 22 hrs, the JLUR averaged 23 to 24 mi/gal. Local driving is btwn 17.4 (32psi) and 18.6 (37psi)... mostly 45 mph, some 35 mph. Driving at 45 mph unrestricted (no stop lights or signs), the JLUR can get 24 mi/gal. Noticed an uptick of 1.0+ mi/gal when tire pressure was increased from 32 to 37 psi. All asphalt and concrete driving.

I have an average of 20.5 MPG and have 1600 miles. 2.0L. I don't have the steel bumpers.

When stock in summer, mostly hwy cruise at 78. Got 18.5 to 19 mpg

After 2.5” jspec lift and 315 nitto ridgegrappler, same hwy cruise at 78, got 16.5

Now the weather getting colder, mpg dropped to 15.

Waiting on a 2.0 myself, will post once received. In the meantime, could those posting also post the engine type and transmission type if not the 2.0? That's an important aspect of the economy figures.

15mpg average with 17" beadlocks, and 37" Cooper S/T Maxx tires.

2.5" lift.

Also have full steel belly skids.

A DV8 front bumper with winch.

And steel side step rock sliders.

And flat fenders that don't cover much.

Not bad, I must say.

How was the install on the DV8 bumper?

As easy as the 8 bolts that hold it on.

Only annoying thing is removing the wiring/fog lights from the OEM bumper. As they have the wires routed behind a bracket along the entire bumper.

Cool, I had read that it may take some modifications on the JL. Great looking JL BTW.
