I had the same argument when I bought my 2010 Challenger SRT. If I wanted the high performance driveline, I was forced to buy a whole pile of crap options that added weight to the car. What's interesting to me is that part of the reason the top models are so expensive is that they are bundling the most off-road capable components with luxury features. What are they trying to be? The best off-road vehicle, or a luxury SUV?
Seems diametrically opposed ...
Sure, demand would make the price go up. But as we all know, Jeep is in a *massive* sales slump as vehicles just aren’t selling like they used to.6th Grade: Supply and demand.
Think you are right, maybe they are doing that with the JT because I have one locally that is 12k off! Of course it is 71k msrpSure, demand would make the price go up. But as we all know, Jeep is in a *massive* sales slump as vehicles just aren’t selling like they used to.
So we’ve got, statistically, higher supply than the, now, lower demand. Would be a great time to lower them prices and make more profit via volume as opposed to milking every last dime out of the very exhausted die hard fans.
Hmm..You want Jeep prices to tank just as you're about to purchase one.Sure, demand would make the price go up. But as we all know, Jeep is in a *massive* sales slump as vehicles just aren’t selling like they used to.

Prices increase = skies blue.Just like Jeep has been looking at the Porsche Cayennes window sticker in Envy ?
Their just a little late to the party. Imports have been that way for a while. I had to get a top trim 4R in 05 to get a V8. The few “options” were on every one inventoried in the state. I had my choice of color, except my first one of course that none had. I would have had to special order to not get some electronics upgrade I likely never used and not get a sunroof that is synced down on neoprene to not leak and hasn’t been used in years or my #1 color instead of #2. End of options.I had the same argument when I bought my 2010 Challenger SRT. If I wanted the high performance driveline, I was forced to buy a whole pile of crap options that added weight to the car.
That’s awesome! Really cool you got to drive a preproduction Wrangler with a 12” screen and side curtain airbags. I’m sure you were able to provide lots of great feedback to the Jeep engineers! In the span of just 36 months, the price of a new JLU Sport that is configured identically to mine has increased by $6K.
I barely saw the value proposition when I wrote the check in 2020. Today? Forget about it.
Prices increase = skies blue.
Unless you want regulation to control prices. ?
We need a thumbs down option. That’s awesome! Really cool you got to drive a preproduction Wrangler with a 12” screen and side curtain airbags. I’m sure you were able to provide lots of great feedback to the Jeep engineers!
Go price out a Bronco. Also, do a 3 year price evolution on that and report back. People cry like little babies about the price of the Wrangler, but look at the whole automotive landscape. And add to that the ones whining are the ones buying fully optioned Rubis to drop their kids off at school. Then the go on to say we need barebones Wranglers of yesteryear all while driving 392s. Wrangler owners need to look in the mirror. We need a thumbs down option.
Already have Wrangler is over priced. By 10 to 20k. Who is whining besides you and being all triggered as always?Go price out a Bronco. Also, do a 3 year price evolution on that and report back. Sorry the truth hurts. Sounds like it’s a game not suited for youAlready have Wrangler is over priced. By 10 to 20k. Who is whining besides you and being all triggered as always?
Heimkehr example was mild and not even close to all the ridiculous price increases. He was pointing out the low end. Thanks for playing Siggy we are sure you will yell at people some more. Go for it.
